I didn’t want any of this, you know. The titles. The turning into a wolf the moment the full moon appears.” I couldn’t help myself. I was acting like a petulant child. But I just didn’t care. My life had taken a complete turn, and all I wanted was to get back on the tracks I was on. Everything just came bubbling out.

Her plan was simple, public humiliation. Maxim found his voice after a while just silent and listening. Ivan nodded obediently. "Listen to my words carefully." Ivan rose from his seat, approached Maxim —chasing him on the right side, staring at each other's reflections in the large mirror before them. "I know, you're just obedient. But about your mate, your Luna, it's a different matter, Max," he said hanging. Ivan caught Maxim's broad shoulder and patted him slowly, before then continuing his pause sentences. "Although your parents believe that Mary is the best Luna who will accompany you to lead us if you or your heart doesn't choose her, she will never be your true mate, Max."

King Sebastian said as he walked further in. “Oh Sebastian, we know you. You are hard to keep. Each time you visit us, you barely stay for a day. This is the first time you’ve stayed past midnight, you know,” the Luna said. “And the last time you were here, I requested a pet, and you said you were going to bring one for me, but you didn’t,” Elena added with a pout. Seeing all of them act so familiar with him did something to me. The way he could be so calm too.

"Luna, it's a miracle. You've brought light to his darkness." Luna nodded, her voice filled with pride. "Sebastian, you have reclaimed your humanity. You are free now." Sebastian's face softened, and a hint of a smile graced his lips. "It is only because you two believed in me when nobody else did. I will forever be grateful."

Sebastian couldn't believe the events of the day even as he heard them from the lips of every alpha he passed. firstly, a young and pretty luna had been brought to the mad Pact. despite how crazy it sounded he knew that was true. because in his haste to catch up with his twin brother he had caught a glimpse of her black curls. he hadn't seen her clearly though, and winter had stolen his attention away before he could investigate further. apparently, his friend had managed to kill someone else this time and needed his help to bury the body. he could have said no of course, but he owed winter a lot of favors already.
