Her voice was hoarse, tearing her throat, the melting snow and her tears soaking both of them. Sebastian stood three paces away, his silver-gray eyes cold as glass. He glanced down at his phone. The screen displayed a message from Landon Rourke: [The medicine is yours. But Sebastian, you must die.] Sebastian's lips curved into a cold, terrifying smile. He typed a single, stark reply: [Come and try.] The snow fell heavier now. Ava held Summer, weeping almost to the point of suffocation. Sebastian stood like a silent executioner behind her. He leaned down, kissing Ava’s snow-damp hair, his voice a low promise meant only for her. “Don’t cry. Now, it’s my turn.”

He looked like an Alpha whose territory was under active attack. "I’ve got you, sweetheart," Sebastian growled. His voice was a low, rough register that vibrated right through the thick plastic of his chest protector. "Sebastian," I choked out, my fingers curling into the wet fabric of his jersey out of pure survival instinct. Another sharp cramp racked my lower stomach, making my legs curl up toward my chest. The internal fire was peaking now, the sweet, heavy scent of white clover and citrus pouring out of my skin so fast it drowned out the smell of the damp corridor.

As Dylan's towering figure had me hidden behind him, he did not realize my presence at first, and instead went on to utter his greetings. "Matt," Sebastian's voice came, now sounding gruff as he offered him a nod and they shook hands. Another voice that sounded oddly familiar face, now much softer compared to how i knew it, with a certain edge that sounded almost seducing to my ears--or am i just the only one that noticed it. "Alpha Sebastian," Faye's voice came, and despite being hidden behind Dylan, I could see her clearly.

"My name is Jasper. I serve Lord Sebastian." Self-consciously she pulled the sheets up to her neck. "Hello." His eyes flicked over her body before returning to her face. "You don't need to fear me." Handing her a cup of tea he smiled, although the action seemed more like a grimace. His sharp teeth flashed. Awesome, more fangs. "How are you feeling?" He had the same strange accent as Sebastian, only his voice was smooth and soft. Nothing like Sebastian's deep, rough voice. Sexy, Sebastian's voice was so damn sexy. Stop thinking about him!

Sebastian's name flashed on the screen with the persistence of a lifeline. "Oh, there he goes again," I said, shaking my head slightly with an affectionate smirk. "Sebastian’s not going to rest until he knows I’m safe and sound at home." "I take it, that's Sebastian again?" Sabrina inquired, raising a playful eyebrow as she took a sip of her drink. "Yep, that's him," I chuckled. "He's been blowing up my phone since we walked into Target. I swear, sometimes it’s like he’s on a mission."

The perfect image of a rising political star. My jaw clenched, still feeling the ghost of earlier—the grip on my arms, the words I couldn’t forget, the way Sebastian’s eyes had raked over me without remorse. I closed my eyes for one shallow second. Behind me, I heard the low murmur of his voice—confident and composed as always, finishing a phone call in that authoritative tone. Then the line clicked off. “Lorelie.” I opened my eyes. Sebastian approached, slipping his phone into his inner coat pocket.

I told her. “I… I wouldn’t tell you!” She slowly started backing away, fear evident. She's obviously a weak coward so I don't know why she's trying to even disobey. I have no time for this. I already missed the pack dinner where I planned to surprise Veronica thinking I already had a solution by then. “Do not test m—” “Alpha Sebastian of Helios, last born from the Rozeiros family of the North,” a raspy voice chimed in. I quickly put my guards up. I did not sense her presence and that is not normal.

She said firmly. I could hear mute sobs until the person on the line parted his lips to speak, it was a soft sigh, and finally, he whined, it was Sebastian, I recognised him, “Mowmmy,” Sebastian called me out while weeping. Yes, I could hear my son, I heard him sad. Oh this bitch, she won’t be another day.

Sebastian wasn't ready to open his eyes because he was certain it would either be Micheal or Leo and he had nothing to say to them about Nathan. For goodness sake, they needed to learn the hard way that no matter how they tortured him, he would never say exactly what they wanted to hear. He heaved deeply, not planning to utter a word as well, but the voice Sebastian heard shocked him to his bones… It wasn't Leo and neither was it Micheal… it was different, a different voice that he wasn't even expecting to hear and that instantly made him open his head almost immediately he heard the voice. I dialed him again and he finally answered after a few rings. "Hello?" I froze for half a second. That voice. Goddamn. It was raspy and deeper than usual, like I'd caught him right in the middle of waking up. The sound sent a thrilling rush through my body. "Zai?" I clicked my tongue, trying not to let the stupid grin spreading across my face show-even though nobody was there to see it. "Hey, John." Sebastian chuckled, the sound sensual and manly as fuck. "You weren't supposed to know that name."
