Something that made Adelard ask, "Are you hiding something?" It was clear that Theo was struggling with himself. But sincerity and devotion made him say, "I think I know how Celeste got all your signatures." Holding out the envelope to him, Theo silently stood up and left for the kitchen. For what was in the envelope required that Adelard be alone. Carelessly unwrapping the envelope and seeing a few pictures, at first, he didn't understand what it was. What could he possibly be hiding in there?”

My parents stifled laughs, helping me toward the exit. "Thanks, Shane," Robert said. "You can go ahead with your business. We'll catch up later." They seemed to be quite familiar with the captain, Shane Santana. That explained his help. After dinner, Mike sensed my bad mood and suggested taking me somewhere. "Where to?" I asked. "Why so secretive?" "Don't ask. It'll ruin the surprise," he replied. I slumped in the seat. "Mike, please don't tell Luke about my marriage."

Leonard must have figured me out by now. He knew I was the type who acted shy on the outside but had secret desires underneath. After a few moments of teasing, he pulled me into another round, and we kept going until we were both completely worn out. When I was ready to leave, he insisted that I did not put my underwear back on. He said he wanted to keep it as a souvenir. I did not want to, but I could not argue with him, so I just did what he said. My stockings were already torn, so I could not wear those either. I took them off and went home wearing only my skirt.

I stepped in line with him, but Lucifer shook his head. "I am actually going to need Loss, and Josie to go find the book. My brothers and I will be on the battlefield cleaning up this mess. You have to hurry though. Anymore of these strange signs existing, the closer she is to coming back on earth." Lucifer said, as he disappeared in a burst of flames. I gulped down, kicking my silly fantasies away. Against my better judgment, my eyes slid down and fell on his chest. The muscle beating so fast against my ribcage tightened at the sight of them again. Thinking of the possible pain he had to go through at one point for them to leave a persistent proof of his struggle had my heart breaking. I wasn't thinking straight, I was lost in the map of scars, hoping maybe they can lead me to my destination, lead me to the place where I can see him for who he actually is, the place where he buries his deepest darkest secret.
