I don’t know how, but… I heard you say I’m brave, and that I’m safe here.” Calista’s mouth fell open, but before she could respond, the door creaked open, and the healer came in carrying a bowl of herbal soup usually given to the wolves who have just given birth. Sable was a small, wiry woman in her late 50s with sharp eyes that missed nothing, and she had a calming presence that had been a godsend during the chaos of my labor. “Sable,” Calista said, her voice still laced with shock. “Lyra just… she said she can hear my thoughts.”

Paulina teased her daughter through mind-link, earning an eye roll from the latter. She was impressed by the tall, handsome and muscular guy the moon goddess destined her daughter to be with. “Call me Paulina if you can.” The statement was directed to Dylan, but Paulina looked at Isabel, seeking her approval. Her daughter looked away instead. It wasn’t up to her to make that decision. Her dad calls the shots when it involves her mom. Dylan studied the body language and the eye communication between the pair, taking a mental note to never attempt to call the former Luna by her first name.

Offering a military salute by crossing their hands over their chest they stood facing her. Jelena Savage was not as old as one would expect from the leader of an entire race. Here she goes, flaunting her superb skills again. "First at the station... and now here. It's more like you're following me around. Seems like you didn't quite get the message last time" - She smiled, revealing a set of perfectly white teeth.

Selena muttered, staring at the crescent moon from where she sat with a stick of cigarette stuck between her fingers. "Hungry?" Gina asked. "No," Selena bluntly replied, taking a drag at the cigarette. "Cruella called," Gina muttered as she dropped the glass of alcohol before her. Selena hummed and shook off the ashes of the cigarette, her eyes still fixed on the lonely moon. Gina noticed the calmness and followed her eyes. "It is just like you. Beautiful, alone, and different," Gina said, smiling. Selena finally looked away and tilted her head to the side, her eyes piercing into Gina's eyes.

Zayn said, and a smile appeared on my face. “You didn't introduce us to your friend; she is such a beauty; she looked like she came out of a lab,” Charmaine joked, and everyone laughed lightly. “Unfortunately, I did get some face work done and my heavy make up makes me beautiful,” I stretched out my hand for a handshake and Charmaine took it, “I'm Selena Lee, I'm your Father's business partner and a friend of your aunty Mika.” “Nice to meet you Selena Lee, being my Father's business partner and my aunt's friend, that'll make you my business partner and also make you family,” Charmaine smiled at me, “You look extremely familiar for some odd reason, I can't place my hand on it.”

Selena said with a smirk on her face. She is 24 years old, height of 5'5 feet, blonde and brown hairs with gorgeous green eyes and pale skin. She was beautiful and she knew it. Her charms never failed to work on anyone and she knows it will work on the triplets too. She will make one of them choose her, make him fall in love with her and then rule the strongest pack as their Luna.

Putting on my black high heels I give myself a last check before heading downstairs as I hear the first cars arriving. Arriving quietly behind my parents as they welcome the first couple – Alpha Zachary and Luna Rachel from the Blood Moon Pack, I step beside my father in time to shake Alpha Zachary’s and Luna Rachel’s hands. My mother and father give me a stern look, acknowledging my close to late arrival. I smile and continue with some small talk with Luna Rachel as Alpha Jackson continues speaking with Alpha Zachary and his Beta Sam. Luna Rachel is a beautiful woman. With her blond hair, brown eyes, and petite frame she is clearly the light in Alpha Zackary’s eyes.

Zayn and Nana are sitting on the couch, watching the Bollywood film 'Manikarnika'. She has her hand in the huge bowl of popcorn and her other hand wrapped around Zayn's torso. He will kiss her forehead once in a while before they continue to watch and comment here and there. Amidst watching the movie, Zayn's phone rang on the couch next to Nana. She peeked her head to see who is calling but then met a heartbreak for Hidaya's name was blinking and her appetite just vanished.
