I was sprawled on the bed, feeling as though every bone in my body had been shattered. The nurse brought my baby, Avery Sinclair, over to give me a quick look. I thanked him as he handed the stack of books to me. I found a sofa in the next room over and began to look through the several-hundred page books I'd been given. One was entirely dedicated to mates.
