I muttered and Erick smiled at me. “Shall we begin then?” The girl next to Erick which he introduced as Daisy, probed and I could have sworn she had short me a glare from the corner of her eyes, making me self conscious of the fact that she liked Erick. I guess they're a couple or something, in other words, she was hinting that he was off limits and I understood immediately. “What game are we playing?” I asked as Kelly passed me a drink. “Seven minutes in heaven.” Erick smirked and I widened my eyes in shock. This can't be good.

CHAPTER 2: The Leaked Videos. (Vincenzo’s POV) Last night, I was upstairs in the VIP lounge, nursing a glass of whiskey that had long since lost its burn. The lights were dim, the air saturated with perfume, lies, and secrets. The waitress had brought me my drink, but my mood was already poisoned. All I could think about was that girl... the one who dared to yell at me outside like I was some street rat. "Are you blind?" she’d said.

"Please, I'm begging you." As long as I could save my mother, my pride was worthless. Eva laughed so hard she almost doubled over. "That's nowhere near sincere enough. I checked—there's only about six miles between us. If you kneel your way over here and beg me in person, maybe I'll say yes then." She didn't hang up. I understood every ounce of her malice. Holding the phone, I started forward, falling to my knees and prostrating myself with each step, dragging myself along the ground.

“It sounds silly.” Matthew shook his head as he took her hand with a boyish smile on his face. “It’s not silly as long as we take all chances given to us by the heavens,” he said gently. “Think of it as us trying it out just for fun. Besides, the doctor said that a little more fresh air would do you some good. Think of this as humoring me for a bit, all right?”
