I circled back and slid into his bed from behind, ducking under the duvet while he sat on the edge still talking.
“That’s a hell of a delay, but your money makes up for it. No cheap shit here,” he told the caller, voice smooth and businesslike.
None of my business.
I was here for one thing.
My heavy lids fought to stay open as I whispered, “Wake me in one hour, Kalvin. I need a quick nap.”
He shot me a scowl, then turned away.
