Draven's POV I don't sleep. This isn't new. I stopped sleeping through the night seven years ago and at this point insomnia is just part of the routine. I train from midnight to two. I review pack correspondence until four. I sit at my desk and stare at nothing and try very hard not to think about my mother's face on another girl's body. Tonight is different. The city blurred below them, neon streaks bleeding into the night. “Seven nights,” Damien growled, teeth scraping Kai’s shoulder. “Seven nights of this tight hole squeezing me like it never wants me to leave. Tell me you’ve been counting too.” Kai’s head fell back against Damien’s shoulder, ice-blue eyes half-lidded. “Every fucking hour. I turned down three guys tonight just waiting for you to walk in.”

Tomorrow, those pictures will probably be on the front page of the newspaper. Sarah hung up, her mind filled with complicated thoughts. Sarah couldn't sleep, her head ached. Sarah sat on the balcony, sipping a glass of red wine. The soft light of the moon poured into the room, creating a very mysterious scene. Sarah suffered from insomnia for a long time. She couldn't fall asleep quickly. Sarah always felt scared and insecure. Even though she was married to Leon, her situation was not better. Sarah sighed. She continued drinking in the moonlight. ------

“Maybe a little sleep will fix it” He looks at me worried. It’s no secret that I haven’t been sleeping well. The nightmares have gotten worse. Thrice now I have woken with wounds that manifested from my dreams. It’s getting hard to fall asleep because I am always afraid that I will wake up from a nightmare. Sebastian has tried everything. The sex is good and it tires me out but I only get an hour or two of peaceful sleep before I am up again from another nightmare.

The day was the same at the library, the only different thing was, the voice never stopped. “You’re so easy to wear, ” it said once, almost fondly. By the time night came, exhaustion dragged me to bed. Mentally and physically. The next morning, it happened again. The same blackout. And it happens again and again. A week passed like a nightmare I couldn’t wake from. Every morning I searched my body for proof. Every night I begged sleep not to take me. It always did. By the seventh night, I broke. I sat on the edge of my bed, fists clenched, heart racing.
