No gray hair yet. Eyes bright. For a moment she wanted it. A world without her mother’s scars. Without carrying anyone’s bleeding. A voice echoed in the ice. Not Selene. Older. Colder. “Take me,” it said. “Raise me. I will give you a world without blood. Without regret. Without choice. Just peace.” Hope closed her eyes. She remembered Luna’s last words: I’d choose you again. Every bleeding day.
