Their shadows met and clashed in the center. Their bodies stayed firmly planted in their spots, with only their shadows moving. May snuck some shadows past Nick and managed to wrap one around his arm, pulling it down and breaking his focus for a moment. His shadows fell and May managed to drive her shadows right at his chest, knocking him back on the ground. She twisted a shadow around his neck, but he seemed to expect that as he coiled a shadow around her leg and squeezed it.
