Let’s find the bastards.” Had I not kept a careful hold on my emotions when I was with the other hunters, I would have been unable to keep in my laughter. Torre was an icon, a hero to me, and ever so direct.

A voice said, it had the same bass as the one that had just killed but it was a lot more authoritative. “That scent…” The blood-soaked vampire thought to itself, the man that had just spoken was a fellow vampire like him but this scent felt familiar. Stepping into the moonlight from the shadows, what came into light was a blonde-haired vampire with crimson-red eyes and a very attractive face. “I know you!” The vampire that killed Ethan blurted out but his calm expression was broken into one of fear.

"Who will come for me?", Charlotte's voice rang out loud and clear in the quiet of the study, catching both vampires by surprise as they both turned to see her standing in the doorway. "Good morning sweet Charlotte", Samael greeted her with a slow smile while deliberately avoiding answering her question. Ender stood looking at her and his brother but remained silent, his face an unreadable mask. "I asked you, who will come for me so which one of you is going to answer me?", she asked more firmly, her gaze flickering between the two brothers.

Especially because they’d included the part about him being a caring man, and ended with me saying I wanted him to be free of the darkness, to cut back again to him walking all alone, eyes down, wearing all black like back then. Hunter declares, flexing his arm as he cracks his knuckles, making the tattoo of the scythe or a Grimm Reaper's blade twist on his arm in a menacing manner. The woman takes one look at the tattoo before gulping. Hunter takes a challenging step towards her, forcing her to take a step backward. The woman stumbles once more, petrified, as tears begin to slip from her eyes.

My fingers curled slightly against the armrest of the chair, knuckles whitening. This was real. No longer whispers or vague suggestions. Luna Katherine words portrayed something entirely different but we both understood ourselves. “What’s next?” I asked, my voice lower, steadier and sharper than before. Luna Katherine leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with a terrifying calm. “We find her. And this time…” She paused, letting the silence stretch long enough to send a chill down my spine. “We finish what we started.”

Sentinels were surrounding them, but they were not interrupting the duel between the two. I gave Monica one last look before I shifted to my werewolf form and ran away from Albrecht Castle. My heart was so broken to leave Sir Brochan and Monica behind, but I had to go back to Treyton to tell him what happened. I was so stupid to think that we could convince Weston after we finally found Alpha Hunter. I never thought Weston could do this. I never thought his loyalty was that frail. Frankly, he was terrifying. Her best friend was leering over her, trying to fight his way to her throat with a crazed look in his eye as his bloodlust was taking over. New turns or fledgelings could be some of the most dangerous vampires. They hadn't learned to control their hunger yet and instinct would take over them. A fledgeling couldn't control how much they took either and almost every feed ended in death. When the blood lust took over they wouldn't even bat an eye at killing their own mother as long as they sated that hunger.
