He stepped forward—cloaked in black, skin smooth like polished obsidian, eyes silver like twin moons drowning in ash.
Azrael.
His smile was the kind that could freeze oceans.
“Well,” he purred, voice smooth like poisoned velvet, “look at what my little project has become.”
Malik placed himself in front of Sarai instantly, fire flickering along his forearms like burning veins.
“Touch her,” he growled, “and I will tear you apart molecule by molecule.”
Azrael’s grin widened. “Still dramatic, I see. Still sentimental. Still weak.”
Malik charged—
