They are a rare species and highly annoying because they can shift into any species they want without actually inheriting their power.”Jake answered, looking pissed off. I quickly asked, worried about my mate. Has she not returned since? "We haven't seen her, Alpha." My heart stilled as dread washed over me, perturbed that Alpha Sebastian or Stephen might have already taken Annabelle captive. I moved to turn my head and discovered that just like Trav and Jughead, I was also immobilized, unable to move, not even to lift a single finger. Cold sweat beaded my forehead. Shapeshifters are highly physical beings, if we can't move, we can't fight or protect ourselves.

Kai asked him. “That is a Baldander, they are shapeshifters. Their normal bodies are that of an alien. The crazy thing is, they can shape their bodies into any object they desire. They love to trick and joke. They are hugely annoying. Imagine not knowing if who you’re talking to is real or not.” Kai laid the rock down softly.
