The Merc[A Reason To Kill]

Jay suggested. "Alright. Later Mr President!" Five replied, and ended the call. She dialed another number. "John Fishman at your service." John said immediately after the first ring. "I need you to find me a new set of A-Class Assassins." Five paused. "This new month needs to be bloody." "Yes Ma'am."... . . . White House

The Assassin's Surrender VIIII

The Assassin's Surrender VIIII

They both look like dictators reigning above everyone. Keeping my eye on both of them, I signal Connor and gesture to the two targets. Connor moves close and nudges me forward. Just as we’re about to move, a shot rings out across the room, and pandemonium ensues. I glance back to see our assassins fighting and then look back up and rush forward when I see that the Senator and Kennedy Lynch are running away. As I’m nearing the stairs, a man appears and takes a swing at me, but I’m ready. Gripping his wrist with both hands, I kick him in the kneecap, twist his arm behind his back and put pressure until I hear the sound of bone breaking. The man cries out in agony as his body slumps to the grou

Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

He’d seen all the Jason Bourne movies, too. He took another drag and held in the smoke. He needed to relax. While those numb nuts were crowded in a closet like goddamn fish in a barrel obsessing over a ghost boy, some government-trained merciless motherfucking assassin was hiding in the shadows, waiting to pick them off one by one for love of country or God or Allah or the Flying Fucking Spaghetti Monster. But he wasn’t having any of it. Because he was a goddamn American. And if the rest of those idiots couldn’t see the danger?

The Female Assassin and the C.E.O

The Female Assassin and the C.E.O

I tried to sleep on the flight to New York but I couldn't, so I decided to go over all the information I had on Aris Micah, every fucking detail. After hours of traveling in the air, the jet finally touched the soil of new York, I came down from the jet and breathe in the fresh breeze of New York City, I'm glad to be here, I didn't take much clothes with me, so there's no need to drag a box with me, I only have, like three clothes in my hand bag, and that's enough, being an assassin taught me not to pack too much clothes, it's a lot of stress. Well I better get to work, and give father a good feedback.

The Liberal Assassin

The Liberal Assassin

“His name and deeds were never recorded and made known to the public. For a period of time, the Inner City was unstable with the political shift in power. As Spencer is a good friend of mine, it wasn’t hard to get a name despite how all records about his existence had been wiped. Your close combat skills from the footage Rion showed me resembled him.” “Is he…?” Janon nodded. “Nash Skinner, the one and only man to be known as a hitman.” I gasped. It was so surreal. “What happened after Arvin got rid of his competition?” Janon shook his head. “Arvin didn’t truly get rid of all his competition. I submitted to him and offered him my services to remain as a member in this corrupted system.” I sco

Assassin's Honor

Assassin's Honor

Gabriel said, “I didn’t much want to be alive. Ten years of waiting, not knowing if the pull would ever lead anywhere. So I found the most dangerous work I could.” She waited. “I was an assassin, Honor. A professional killer. I took contracts — targets — and I eliminated them. That was my life for the better part of a decade.” She stopped walking. He stopped too, hands in his pockets, and let her look at him. Let her take the time she needed to put it together, to decide what she thought of it. He’d learned enough about her to know that rushing her to a reaction she hadn’t fully formed would only make it worse.

Submissive Assassin

Submissive Assassin

The worse part was that he hadn't even stopped at just telling Dante to stop messing with his aunt, he even menaced to murder him. "We need to get you out of this city." Nate couldn't help but agree—that was not the avenue he wanted to continue upon this early in a new surrounding. "We need to get out now." "He could kill you, Nate." "I fucking know that Auntie, thanks." He snapped, annoyed that he hadn't been told all these things before even arriving to this city. He had never heard of anyone named Dante Hercules, his name sounded ridiculous anyway. Besides, he never even thought he would come across a mafia member, or an assassin, or a yakuza—honestly, all these terms were way too much fo

The Assassin

The Assassin

I thought I could handle this on my own, thought I could bring Zephyr back without assistance because I’m her mate, but it's not enough. “Did you see the person? Did you see the assassin?” Avani snarls. I look at him, knowing this will hurt him nearly as much as it hurts me. “It’s Zephyr, Avani. She’s the assassin.” He falls back on his butt. “What? Are you sure?” he asks. I raise an eyebrow at him. “Why would she do this? Why would she kill these shifters?” Cedric asks. “They got to her,” Avani says as realization dawns on him and he looks at me. He and I have worked together long enough. We understand each other without words.

I had put off reading this for a bit after the 2nd book. Zeph wasn't very developed and knowing she was starting on a dark side wasnt that enticing but DAMM i blew through this after giving her a chance. the plot and characters and world just draw you in!

Assassin's Baby

Assassin's Baby

I challenged her. "Okay fine, I'll tell you, AS stands for Assassination Society and as you can see from the name, they are the ones who are given assignments to assassinate someone and the ones who give them these assignments are their BIG SHOT client who wants their mess to be cleaned or enemy to be killed accidentally or in natural death without them being linked to that death," the woman began to explain everything to us. And I hate challenging her since she understands what AS is and what the aim of this group is.
