Sheriff Black lay at my feet, his body covered in blood. With a heavy heart, I covered my mouth to muffle the scream that threatened to escape as I once again found myself on the cold ground. My hands shook as I crawled toward his lifeless body, desperately trying to wake him with a gentle shake. But as I searched for a pulse, my heart sank with the realization that he was truly gone. His eyes remained open, as though he was caught off guard, yet they stared into nothingness. With tears streaming down my face, I tenderly closed them and clung to his still form, allowing myself to cry softly.

His cloak billowed behind him like a living shadow, and his eyes — pale as dying stars — scanned the path ahead with cold indifference. But before he reached the inner gates, a group of his men appeared, cloaked in the deep grey of the Night Walker elite. They bowed low, pressing fists to chests in a silent salute. “Sire,” the lead warrior spoke, rising. “There’s movement on the southern border. The Blood Moons are training harder, reinforcing the outer defenses. Scouts have spotted Alexandro himself. He’s brought his Luna.” Valerian’s expression did not shift, but a dark gleam entered his gaze.

It wasn't a large crowd in front of me, but it wasn't all too small either. "Well, let me start by introducing myself. I am Timothy Shaw, the acting Alpha of this pack. My father is in long vacation together with his Luna, Beta, and others... so I was the one who's in charge in this pack." Timothy gave a friendly smile, but it didn't last too long on his face. "and this is my sister Lily Shaw," He said, gesturing towards me. I didn't really know how to react, so I just gave a small wave and a friendly smile. "Hi," I greeted them shyly, almost making myself blush.

The healer, an older woman named Helena, stepped toward the bed, giving Liam a meaningful look.

She whispered "Is there anything we can do to buy time." "You don't need to buy time, you don't have any money anywhere!" Patrick screamed, and every time he did, it hurt Hannah in her chest. She had never been this humiliated. "If there's anything we can give, we will..." Hannah said bringing down her voice. "No, there's nothing you can give." he shut his eyes tight determined to not listen to any plea. I just can't wait to see his personality blossom too and watch him grow up into the great Alpha I'm sure he will one day become. I hadn't heard much from Connor but I knew he was back living as a Rogue, drifting around the country, sometimes into Canada. I know there is never going to be a part of my family in the Stella pack or an uncle to Cato but I'm certain I haven't seen the last of my brother. In years to come, tensions will ease and things will change. At the moment, Leo and I don't bring Connor up much. But with the news we may receive in three minutes, it could be time for that to change. "Is it done yet?" Leo asked impatiently.
