I force myself to breathe, to focus on her voice, even though everything in me is screaming to fight. “Trust me,” she whispers, her voice fading again, but I hold on to it. So I let go. I stop pushing back and just… let it pull me. Whatever’s out there, whatever this endless thing is, I’m moving toward it now.
