She Read Novel Last Morning Novels & Stories

She finished the chapter. She sat for a moment with the book in her hands. Then she kept reading. --- She finished at four in the morning. She did not go back to bed. She put the proof on the coffee table and went to the kitchen and sat at the table in the dark without turning on a light. The kitchen faced east and the dark outside the window was the particular dark of just before the hour when it would begin to change, still fully night but with the quality of night that knew it was near its end.

After she'd taken her bath and was done with her morning routine, Phoebe laid down on her bed with a new novel she wanted to read. She read the synopsis and as the book promised an adventurous journey, she delved right in, inhaling the delicious scent of the new book.

Fuck, she makes me feel everything. "It is indeed a good morning," I say wrapping more of her wild hair around her ear so I can see her face better. "Sorry, I fell asleep," she says. I'm not sorry. I didn't want to get into her Dad's allegations last night and even though she wasn't happy about it she asked me to read her the book she had grabbed off my book shelf. One of my favorites. It's a mystery novel about two mates who find each other while they are both trying to catch the same serial killer that's on the loose.

I pick it up; it's written in italic font. ' Good morning, Apphia. I had a lovely time with you yesterday. You only deserve the best, " I smile and carry the half-bloomed lotus to my nose. It smells amazing. I read the title of the new novel, Little Women. I've never read it before. The door opens, and Lily comes in, carrying a tray of dishes in her hands. She smiles at me, " Good morning, Apphia, you look luminous this morning."

I saw her sitting on the floor, cross-legged, the letter in her lap, her fingers tracing the folded edges. She didn’t open it. She just… held it. Like a truth she wasn’t ready to say out loud yet. River – POV The next morning, I found her in the sunroom. Barefoot. Curled into the corner chair. Reading the first few chapters of my second novel—again. She had a notebook open beside her, half-filled with what looked like questions. I brought her tea. Lavender chamomile. She didn’t look up at first, but when she did, her eyes were clearer than they’d been the night before.

The city was big, after all. I reached home just in time before it start raining, then start preparing for the day. Gathering the brochures I needed and also my outfit. By ten I settled in bed and continued reading She's my Luna on Goodnovel. I didn't know when I fell asleep, but when I woke up, it was almost time for my alarm to go off. So I decided to get up and get ready.

We eat dinner in the sitting room. Nothing fancy. Just the two of us. Soft pasta, fresh herbs, and wine neither of us drinks. We watch the fire crackle in the corner, the news muted on the screen. My face flashes across it. I turn it off. Not tonight. Later, I shower. Dress down. Bare feet on cool marble tile. I walk the house again. But slower this time. And when I return to the bedroom, she’s already curled in bed, reading one of the books from the study. A novel I gave her a year ago and she never had time to start.

Evelina pulled a book out of her bag that she borrowed earlier in the school library. BAM!!! The thumping sound of the book she put on her desk, sounded very loud because the book was quite heavy and thick. Evelina checks the book and she realizes that she borrowed so much. She didn’t expect that the books borrowed by her were enough. So, no wonder Rissa commented on this morning. “Let’s see what books I just borrowed ...,” murmured while sorting out the book. “There’s a Sherlock Holmes novel, Her Last Word, A Time Return, ... and finally you’re my butterfly?”

The morning sky was still a watery gray as the sun failed to penetrate the heavy snow clouds that had gathered above them. Phillip greeted her with a smile as she reached him. "Good morning." She smiled back, but a sudden bout of nerves made her tremble. Had she really asked him to tutor her in seduction last night? The reality of that moment was now a little daunting in the cold light of day. "Come now, don't be shy," Phillip teased. "That is your first lesson." He offered her his free arm, and they joined the servants by the coach. "I had Marcus and Cora fetch some novels from the library for us to read."

Watching her wake up has become one of my new favorite pastimes and I don’t want to miss it this morning, although she won’t wake up for another couple hours at least; she’s a night creature. I get up and walk back into the bedroom. Stopping at the foot of the bed, I laugh softly as I see the three of them tangled up in each other’s limbs. I then proceed to our library nook in another corner of our room, sit in my favorite chair, and pull out the romance novel I started to read last night. It is a good one. A story about an author who gets a movie deal and gets tangled up with the three male actors who audition to play characters in her book.
