What Page Are You On, Mr. Male Lead

What Page Are You On, Mr. Male Lead

She took a deep breath as she calmly took out her notebook to list down all the events she remembered from the novel, though it was a little late to do so. “Rosine successfully confessing to Jean – cross. Greyson falling in love with Rosine at first sight – I don’t know. Heather, me, being a complete villainess….” She trailed the end of her words as she looked at the written sentence. She tapped the tip of her pen on the sentence and finally wrote a long line beside the sentence. She continued writing until it was the wee hours of the morning. She heard a knock on the door. It was the maid who brought her honey water the other day.

The CEO’s Temptation

The CEO’s Temptation

--- I poured myself a drink and stared at the flickering monitors. The cameras showed every room. Every exit. Every hallway. She had nowhere to go. No way to vanish. And now? Now I had a reason to stop playing nice. --- The next morning, I brought her breakfast. Just like always. She was already dressed, sitting in the armchair by the fireplace, flipping through one of the French poetry books I left in her room. Fake calm. Like a deer frozen in tall grass. “Morning,” I said, placing the tray down gently.

The Baby He Never Chose

The Baby He Never Chose

--- Her last morning at Selwyn Street arrived on a Thursday. She woke just after six. The bedroom filled with the familiar pale light she'd watched change through three years of seasons. She knew every version of it. Summer dawns. Grey winter mornings. The mornings after sleepless nights with a newborn. The mornings when she'd wondered whether she'd made the right decision by coming to Calloway. She stayed in bed for a while. Not because she wanted to hold on. Because she wanted to say goodbye properly. She searched herself for grief. It wasn't quite there.

Banished By The Alpha King:Claimed By The Cursed Lycan Beast

I breathed it in until my chest ached. The library next. She had spent hours here, curled in the window seat with a book in her lap. I found the spot she had worn into the cushion. The pages of the book she had been reading were still marked with a ribbon. I ran my fingers over the words she had last read and wondered if she would ever finish the story. The garden after that. The bench where she sat to drink her morning tea. The path she walked to clear her mind. The rose bush she had been tending, the one with the white blooms she said reminded her of home.

I am already hooked already by the introduction. I hope this is a completed story. i I am not one to complain, becuz authors need time with their family or need a break to rest. Werewolf stories are my all time favorite stories to read.

Just finished the book, caught off guard by the whole science angle and the seemingly sudden relationship between the Betas that wasn't supported throughout the story. Other than those two areas, excellent writing and imagery. Love the "unexpected" helper's redemption. Won't read the sequel.

SINFUL DESIRES

SINFUL DESIRES

Then she put the new book down. “I would like to read something older,” she said. “From the third novel. The last four pages. For the person who has been keeping it on her staff picks shelf.” Sera felt the back of her neck grow warm. She read the ending of The Cartographer’s Daughter without looking at the book. She knew it by heart. The room was absolutely still. At the last paragraph, the specific last sentence that Sera had once read aloud to herself in the shop after closing, her voice changed, something quieter in it.

The Things I Can't Do To You

The Things I Can't Do To You

Grocery shopping, laundry and cleaning usually occupied most of the morning before she rewarded herself with an afternoon of reading. Today, her routine had completely deserted her. She reached for her phone. A smile appeared almost instantly. The final message from Jake still sat on the screen. I have a feeling that's going to be my favourite message for a very long time. She read it again. Then, despite having already done so at least half a dozen times before falling asleep, she smiled just as broadly. Her thumb hovered over the keyboard. Good morning. No. That seemed ridiculous considering it was already after ten.

Billionaire's Abused Wife

Billionaire's Abused Wife

The new morning brought a sense of relaxation, bathed in the warm glow of the sun. Unlike usual, it was Noah who awoke early this time. As he opened his eyes, Jemma's face greeted him, an unusual sight. Her fingers lingered in his hair, and her eyes were peacefully closed. A warmth filled his heart; she had slept while soothingly caressing his hair the previous night.

She said putting her hand to his cheek. “I'll see you soon.” He said as He kissed her hand. He stepped out the door and headed down the path that led to The Morning Star. Reaching the Star he looked to their house nestled in the cliff side. Morgan had already lit the candle. Letting him know how to return home. It was never goodbye, always i’ll see you soon.

The Rejected Luna is the Goddess' Blessed

They felt the heat, assuring them that even though they lost two important people in their lives in just a span of a month, they were not alone in that cruel world. -- Morning light spilled inside the room. Mallory had long woken up and was preparing the table for breakfast when the bedroom door opened. She raised her head and met Oddny’s eyes. “… Good morning.” She meekly said to her. Mallory’s eyes widened in delight, but she controlled herself and greeted her back. “Good morning! Breakfast will be ready soon.” Oddny looked at the table and saw the steaming hot vegetable stew from last night and some hard bread. “Where did you get that?”

The Last Smile She Misread

The Last Smile She Misread

Mom had blocked her. Peggy's hand slowly dropped to her side. Through the glass, she looked at my body one last time. As she walked away, she kept turning back. I watched the only person who might've saved me walk away. The last spark of hope inside me disappeared with her. Back at the restaurant, Maya licked her ice cream spoon. "Mom, was that Peggy? What did she want?" Mom dabbed the corner of her mouth with her napkin, her gentle smile returning.
