“You didn’t.” I frowned. “Excuse me?” “I declined,” she said. “Remember?” I went quiet. “I’m not here because of you,” she continued. “I’m here on my own.” She paused before she continued… “Or better still… with my man.” That word again. My jaw tightened. I didn’t respond. Because I wasn’t sure what I would say if I did. She watched me for a second longer, then turned… And walked away. Just like that.

I told her She chuckled “Im here” was all she said

She said. I gave her a small smile before nodding my head. She also smiled. “That's wonderful news.” She said and I asked. “Do you have kids?” She sighed and took her hands away after they were all dried up. She looked down before facing me again. This time her smile wasn't there and only had her lips tightened with her lower lip disappearing inside her mouth. “I can't have children.”

she finally spoke, voicing her dissatisfaction. "Jealous?" I opened my eyes and locked my gaze with hers. She looked down at me, and I offered a smile. "What's so wrong with being jealous?" I furrowed my brows, genuinely seeking to understand her perspective. "I belong to no one," she grumbled, her voice filled with defiance. "I have my own life to live, you know, so you can't just claim me like an object."

She said, . . "Let's break up."
