[Focus] activated. I lunged at the one nearest to me. He was surprised and then stunned. I had focused a hundred percent of Killing Intent on him. His body froze for a split second, giving me enough time to land on him a nonlethal slash. Imagine a tazer. He went down cold. A Shi behind me decided to take this opportunity to attack another worker. I stunned him with my intent and threw my shield at him. He went down. The other three were now focused on me. They hadn't figured out they were fighting a mirror until I threw the shield.

I roared, observing his hasty retreat, his movements a blur of desperation. That was the fourth warrior that I put down today. I hate to admit it, but whatever that healer did to me was f*cking amazing! My shoulder was injured in battle, and some feral rogue bit half of it off. she huffed, and reclined on the couch. Jeremy frowned. “Wait, are you saying that I can’t take this asshole in a fight? He slipped the shield onto his back and pulled out the sword of Achilles. The overhead lamps cast multiple facets of light off the gleaming, divine metal and sent them arcing across the room. The familiar surge of adrenaline flooded his body as his mind kicked into combat mode, his senses sharpened. The blade made a whoosh sounds as he sliced it through the air, spinning the sword this way and that.

Keever was still in tow, Froster now had his hand on the man’s back as he pushed him forward. “Ambush!” A private warned. The square reformed as javelins and axes were thrown from the mass nearby reeds and bushes. The piercing whistle of a spear nearing its target could be heard, it was only from the corner of her eye but she sensed it before it could land. The spear was tipped with a glowing yellow crystal shard that breaks through the arcane shield upon impact. Drawing a sword with her left, she deflects the javelin with ease. “Damnation” Froster curses, returning fire before he restores the shattered arcane shield above their heads.

My heart ran to my stomach. “I thought you enjoyed playing brave?” She took two steps closer. Her eyes burned with something that looked dangerous. “What do you want to do with me?” I drew two steps back. She shrugged. “What else? Fun of course.” “With a silver blade?” “That’s the idea,” she moved closer before I could have the time to catch a breath. Freya’s hand fist on my hair as a sharp object pierced through my stomach. She pulled the knife out, stabbing for the second time. “Heal,” she ordered.

It gave his mind the dangerous ability to roam back to his shieldmaiden's graceful movements, her sinewy muscles, her fierce gaze during their battle. A sudden slash of pain in his bicep broke him from his trance-like state. Blood poured from the wound creating a dark stain on his red tunic. Glancing at it quickly, he determined it was a large gash but didn't appear to be deep. He pressed the heel of his hand against the wound to stop the bleeding. The boy in front of him gasped and Brand thought he would drop his sword in fright. "I, I'm sorry," the young warrior sputtered. "I d-didn't mean to…"

It only means allowing other members to die without someone trying to save them. Outside was terrifying, filled with screams of pain and courage at the same time. The shrill howls were deafening. Bones cracking from shapeshifting into their wolf form to fight then shifting back to their human form once severely hurt were scattered through every corner. Trying to keep myself as hidden as I could, I began wandering around, searching for someone who’s in need of help. I spot one warrior leaning by the log of woods. I immediately ran towards him as I already had a guess he was hurt with the way he was seated and hiding.

She wiped away her tears, feeling a renewed sense of purpose swell within her. “I won’t let your sacrifice be for nothing,” she vowed aloud, her voice steady and resolute. “I will fight back. I will protect myself, and I will uncover the truth. Agatha won’t take me without a fight.” With a newfound determination, Aqua rose from her spot on the floor, the remnants of her parents’ love fueling her spirit. She would not hide. She would prepare, train, and embrace her powers, ready to face the dark forces that threatened her future.
