Shifted Reality

Other than his nightmarish dreams, Melo's life is nothing but perfect. However, what if this surreal life that he is living isn't even reality but fragments of a reality he wished he would have lived in.

It is hard to believe in supernatural creatures and powers. Things like those are laughing-stuffs in reality, but what will you do if one day, that reality you are living will eventually be the fantasy you don't believe exists?

Sometimes we wish that our dreams would become reality or our reality will become nothing but a dream. But for Ian Green he wishes for nothing but a normal life, however a normal life is just not for him.

“You are not human or one of us.” I broke the silence. “What are you?” I wanted to know. Her smell was very strange, lingering softly in the air. I couldn’t put my finger on it. Just moments ago, I was ready to drive him insane with my teasing, and now I was a mess, a puddle melting away in his hands, completely at his mercy. The power dynamic shifted, and he reveled in my surrender, eager to push me further into this wild desire. **** Talon/Virgil faces an agonizing cycle of deaths. When the lights came on at the end of the graduation party, the spotlight suddenly shifted and froze on a young couple kissing passionately at the back of the auditorium. The young man held up a bouquet of roses and shouted to the crowd, “Sophie, be my girlfriend!” The moment the girl covered her face and nodded, the cheers in the hall nearly lifted the roof. Amid the thunderous applause, my hand trembled around my phone. The screen still showed the message he had sent half an hour earlier. Rowan: [Wait for me. I’ll come to you right away.] After the party, I took off the couple’s bracelet from my wrist and threw it into the gutter, along with four years of love.

A fictional world set in our reality, wherein, when a person dies, they continue their life in an exact replica of the initial world, with no memory of what had happened previously. In this world, there are individuals, glitches if you will, that retain their memory when the shifting of reality occurs. These people are called primes. The Primes are created from the longing of existence (child- Infinity) trying to defeat its mother (grand-mother), nothingness. This brings in the main character, Jude, the key in bringing the salvation that existence requires. However, nothingness was able to infect some primes, called finite.... who want one thing only, to cut the natural, infinite flow of reality, and lead us back to the path of nothingness.

"You just shifted," was how the King responded, a fire in his eyes that seemed to make Kendra feel like she was melting. "Y-yes sir," she stammered before standing up fully, though she kept her eyes down again. She wasn't sure where to look. "I was confirming, not asking," he says, though his voice is not unkind, but curious. "Incredible. A female Alpha. A thing not even of legends." He stood up, and crossed the space between them in an instant. The mouthwatering scent was now overwhelming her. He lifted her chin with the tips of his fingers. Electricity spread from the spots where his fingers touched, and her breath hitched. Their eyes met, and his was now as wide as hers. She finally heard her wolf, confirming what was starting to dawn on her. Mate. Kendra was the daughter of the Beta of her Pack, and while she had that strong wolf blood in her veins, she hadn’t shifted at 13. Rather than despairing, she threw herself into her future, where she would be an Advocate amongst humans, asking for wolf rights and hoping that being unable to shift would put them at ease. However, on her 18th birthday, something unheard of happened- she shifted. Now, she has to juggle handling her newfound responsibilities, her conflicting feelings with the former Gamma’s son, Derek, and on top of all of it, her mate bond with Lycan King Kenzo, who despite being cold and distant to many, grew to be warm and kind to her. Will she be able to disregard her feelings for Derek and live happily with Kenzo, or will she reject her mate bond, and risk losing everything, to be with a man who seems to be hiding a secret from her?
