The Curse Within

The Curse Within

“Take your time. Breathe. You don’t need to rush the shift. Just feel it.” I nodded, stepping away to find a patch of grass where I could focus. My heart pounded as I closed my eyes, trying to remember how it had felt the first time I shifted. It had been painful, chaotic, like my body was fighting itself. But Lyra’s calm presence grounded me now, her steady breathing a guide. The first ripple of change came slowly, my limbs trembling as the shift began. I winced as the sensation spread, but it wasn’t as jarring as I remembered. The energy coursing through me felt less like a storm and more like a tide, steady and unrelenting.

I Am The Alpha

I Am The Alpha

“About the shifting?” She paused, her hands stilling for a brief second before continuing. “Ethan’s always serious. You’ll learn that soon enough.” “That’s not reassuring,” I scoffed, rolling my eyes away. The sound of rustling interjected the still air. “Good.“ She said in a stern tone. “You shouldn’t feel reassured. Shifting is brutal the first time, especially under stress. But it’s necessary.” I watched as she stepped away to open a metal drawer by a locker set sitting against a charcoal black wall.

My Professor Is My Alpha Mate

My Professor Is My Alpha Mate

Enzo’s POV “Today, I’ll be teaching you how to shift in the air,” I announced to the class of students. “It’s all in the legs. We kick off from the ground and then begin the shift right when the legs are being pushed off the ground.” I demonstrated with ease, and I was met with applause. “This is used mainly for sneak attacks. I want you to try and sneak attack your partners. Trade-off each round.” Everyone went with their partners to a different section of the arena for some space. Lila stood in the distance, waiting for me because I’m her partner.

After leaving a review for the "prequel" to this I realized I never reviewed this book!! I really love this book, and how much you can really feel for the characters and the amount of unexpected turn of events is extremely intriguing and captivating (I'm usually good at predictions lol).Must read!

Readers can’t honestly engulf in the story. Although we appreciate the author, only 1 chapter is uploaded PER DAY with a 1-2 minute read. It’s frustrating when you’ve breezed through a book, and are so hype for it, & all of the sudden hit a wall. The stop & go is upsetting not suspenseful. Loses us.

The Alpha's Forgotten Mate

The Alpha's Forgotten Mate

"Shift partially. Just your hands. But stay completely aware of what you're doing." I focused. Called my wolf forward but held onto my consciousness. Claws extended from my hands smoothly and controlled. "Good. Now pull them back." I did. They retracted without the usual struggle. "Again. Faster this time." We practiced for hours. Shifting hands, eyes, teeth. Quick bursts then back to human. Over and over until I could do it without thinking. By lunch, I was exhausted. "Tomorrow we add emotion," Jolene said as I collapsed on the mat. "Anger, fear, protectiveness. You need to be able to shift under stress without losing control."

The Lycan’s Tribute: Claimed By My Foster Brothers

The Lycan’s Tribute: Claimed By My Foster Brothers

Rylan said, the moment I cleared the door, "we work on transitioning back. Not just holding the shift. Shifting out of it cleanly." "What's wrong with how I do it now?" "You land on your hands and knees." "Dramatically," I added. "I land dramatically." "Smooth shifts save time," he said, ignoring me completely. "Time saves lives." I rolled my shoulders back. "Very inspiring." I shifted. Bones, fur, the world dropping two feet and rebuilding itself wider and sharper. The smells of the yard hit me all at once, damp soil, grass, Rylan's jacket, something dead and small near the far fence that we were all apparently pretending wasn't there.

Noah, an Omega's story

Noah, an Omega's story

" I said as I gently caressed his face. His eyes slowly closed as he leaned into my hand. Almost right away I heard the sound of his bones snapping and popping. He began to whimper and cry as his bones broke then realigned. "That's it, you're doing so good!" I said, running my hand through his hair then down his back, but staying away from the center, letting my hand run along the side of his back. It would only hurt him if I touched his spine as those bones broke and realigned. So I stayed away from them, but gently ran my hand along the side of his back where I knew it would feel good and soothe him. When you first shift, the bones break, and realign slower than they do for someone like me

Best book in the series! Even knowing bits of Noah’s story, this brought things to an entirely different level. Loved being able to get more details about so many of the characters, even if at times it was heartbreaking. So good!

One Biker Princess For Four Hockey Alphas

One Biker Princess For Four Hockey Alphas

“Close your eyes. Feel where the wolf starts.” I did what he said. My wolf was right there, pacing, listening to his voice. “Good,” he said softly near my ear. “Now breathe in for four. Hold for four. Out for six. Slowly.” I followed his count. In, hold, out, again, again and the pacing slowed. Wowwwww, what an awesome teacher. I admit. “Picture a wall,” he said. “Build it brick by brick between you and the shift.” I tried. The first bricks crumbled. He kept talking, calmly. Ten minutes… twenty.

The Pack's Triquetra

The Pack's Triquetra

Werewolf etiquette was not to look, or, at least, not to obviously look, at those people getting naked around you. Shifting at their age was also not comfortable. It improved with age and practice, Heath’s mother assured him, but for the first few years, the body had to learn the new form, and shifting involved a lot of bone cracking and muscle stretching. Heath had a suspicion that it didn’t look too pleasant either, but he had never watched someone else do it.

Fantastic follow up to the first book. I keep going back to the first one to reread the corresponding chapters. It’s so good to see all the perspectives. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Such a clever way to present a story. I’m hooked. I’ll read anything this author puts out at this point.

Night Wolves

Night Wolves

"I want one group over here, and another group facing them over here!" "Well, here goes nothing," Seven said as he jogged off, but I stayed on the opposite side. "Go!" Eve said, and the first two shifters ran straight into each other, and both fell backward. They yelped a bit and then went back to the end of their lines. "Anticipate what your enemy will do!" Eve yelled. "Next two, go!" The following two shifters ran toward each other, and one went high, and the other went low, using his shoulder to flip his opponent.

Alpha's Cursed And Broken Mate

Alpha's Cursed And Broken Mate

I asked. “Where’s the fun in that?” she asked. “Alright. So, one down, what’s next?” I asked. “Solo shift,” she said. “First, you get a friend. Next one is each of you. One at a time.” My stomach twisted into knots. I knew I had to go through the stages and do all the steps. Was I ever going to stop feeling nervous about shifting? “Kyle first,” she said. “Why did I put my pants back on?” He tugged his jeans off.
