he smiled warmly at her while they were both comfortably seated on the sand. “This is farewell, a beautiful one,” he spoke once more. ‘If there is no reason to stay, one must leave’ They weren’t relatives. They weren’t lovers. They were just strangers with some memories together, nothing more and nothing less.

Of Frost and Fire

Of Frost and Fire

Years in their rapid flight have rolled away since then, and he, my brother, is sleeping alone on the wild shore of California. "For scarcely had the sad tones died Which echoed the farewell, When o'er the western prairies There came a funeral knell; It said that he who went from us, While yet upon his brow The dew of youth was glistening, Had passed to heaven now." James Brown, too, is resting in the churchyard, near his own home, and 'neath his own native sky.

My Possessive Vampire King

My Possessive Vampire King

"May their spirits soar on wings of light, guided by the love and reverence we hold in our hearts. May they find solace in the embrace of the eternal night, their bravery and sacrifice forever cherished in the annals of time. Rest in peace, dear warriors, knowing that your legacy lives on in us, the living, who will carry your memory with pride and gratitude until the end of days." As the sun rose higher in the sky, its golden light bathing the clearing in a warm glow, the mourners began to disperse, their hearts heavy but their spirits buoyed by the knowledge that the fallen had been honored in death. We left the clearing in silence, each of us carrying the memory of our fallen comrades in

The Ultimate Husband

The Ultimate Husband

Penny trembled as she opened her mouth slightly and read Darryl’s poem. “Over old trees wreathed with ancient vines and flying evening crows. “Under a small bridge at a nearby cottage, a stream flows. “On an ancient road in the west wind, a lean horse goes. “Westward the setting sun goes. “Far from home was the heartbroken one!” Westward the setting sun goes. Far from home was the heartbroken one! The entire city rumbled in cheers in the blink of an eye. It was a great poem! There was nothing like it!

No Return

No Return

It was only two streets away from the beach, and the sunset promised to be one to remember. She walked down the stairs and on the tricky pebbles up to the shore, were she sat, face to the west. Without stopping to think about it, she grabbed her tablet from her bag and opened the notepad to write down the words that had been echoing inside her head all afternoon. When she was finished, she found out they were a full poem. "Tear yourself for ever apart Let the darkness hear your cry Weeping over forgotten moments Your mind keeps calling a life. "Let go of your precious sunsets

Poor Husband's Betrayal

Poor Husband's Betrayal

Raisa wrote a poem entitled in the quiet, she then reread her work. In a lonely corner of the silent night, I hug your shadow in this loneliness. The longing that slices the heart, Flowed with tears that did not stop. In every beat of my heart, There is your name that echoes sadly. The hope that used to strengthen, Now only a painful memory. I walk in empty hallways, Without direction, without light. All the promises you once made, Are now just shadows that disappear slowly. Time passes slowly and cruelly, Leaving deep wounds.

The Lord Of Chaos: A Forced Marriage

The Lord Of Chaos: A Forced Marriage

Helen leaned down and pressed her lips to her daughter’s cold forehead in a kiss that was promise, farewell, and surrender all at once. Tears fell without restraint, in a grief without cure, an open wound that bled a little more each day, reminding her that love, once stripped of its reason for being, never fully healed. The sky over Bath opened into a fine rain, as if heaven itself wept alongside them in that farewell, sharing a sorrow no human heart could bear alone.

Monster Luna Writes Her Own Destiny

Monster Luna Writes Her Own Destiny

My sobs broke through, though I quickly covered my mouth with my hands. A Luna from the southern pack stepped forward, reciting a farewell prayer. Her voice trembled but was filled with resolve. I felt a new strength in her words, that though their bodies were gone, the spirit of the warriors would always live on in our blood and memories. The attendees lifted their heads, some reaching for the hands of those beside them. There was a warmth of togetherness amidst the cold sorrow. When the simple wooden coffins were finally lowered into the graves, the air felt heavier than before. The sound of the earth being scattered one by one echoed like heartbreaking thuds. I closed my eyes, letting my

My Ex, the Widowed Billionaire

My Ex, the Widowed Billionaire

The Spire glowed faintly after I left. And I felt, for the first time in a long time, the subtle grace of unspoken closure. There are no farewells here. Only transitions that do not announce themselves. Sometimes people simply soften enough that they pass through walls we did not know were there. And when they do, we do not grieve their going. We listen for where they begin again. Not all who remain speak of this. But we feel it, in the shift of wind through the Listening Grass, in the pause between two heartbeats that hold a whole lifetime of decision.
