“You look like hell.” Enzo huffed a quiet laugh. “And you look like you haven’t slept.” “I haven’t.” His eyes darkened. “Nightmares?” She hesitated, then nodded. “I keep seeing it. The blood, the bodies… Diego.” She wrapped her arms around herself. “It doesn’t feel real.” Enzo leaned back in his chair, studying her. “It is.” She crossed the room, sitting on the edge of his desk. “Your men lost faith in you.”

I said. “You really are full of surprises.” He said. And I looked over and smiled at him. “And don’t tell me you hate it.” I said. “I would never tell you that I hated it.” He said. We got to Nashville that night and we were hoping that since this city had already been hit, nobody would be hanging around. We got out of our cars and started looking around, but if there were any survivors they would be too scared to come out at night time. “Well, well. Would you look at who we have here? It’s the werewolf that’s causing us so many problems.” Someone said behind us. So we all spun around and we were being surrounded by vampires.

No wonder some people get addicted to it. The memory of what happened last night makes me shudder, and I try not to think of those men's threats. Now I just want to enjoy being alone for the first time in a while, so I go down to the library and search for something to read. There's an entire shelf dedicated to novels about vampires, which is amusing to find inside a vampire's library, so I pick one called Carmilla and settle down in an armchair. I'm ten pages into it when the door opens abruptly.

Shaking her head, she said, "But aren't you only like that because you idiotically accepted an accursed book from a nobody? You said, you don't even believe in ghosts before you got that." He sighed and took out the book which always appeared inside his pocket for several months now. The book was giving off a mysterious vibe due to its black worn-out cover featuring a faceless monster. He got it from a fake friend who had styled himself as a book collector. Nathan was a horror writer so he accepted the creepy book. Jon wondered about his client's nocturnal habits and whether he would need to adjust his work hours as well to match his client's. Suddenly, Jon saw something move from the corner of his eye. I grab my knife but he's quick. He grabs my arm. His grip is cold and slimy. I scream and slash at him. The knife cuts his shoulder. Black blood oozes out. It stinks like dead fish. He doesn't stop. He slams me against the wall. My head hits hard. Stars flash in my eyes. He rips my shirt open, and the buttons fly. My bra shows. He tears it off. My tits bounce free. Cold air hits my nipples. They were images of blackened houses, broken bodies, and trembling survivors murmuring in fear. “They said they saw… shadows with horns,” Eden whispered. “They said the shadows walked through fire and didn’t burn.
