Because somehow I realized how much I did not know my mom. I knew my mother as Luna. As a leader. As an icon. But not as a young girl. Not as a friend. But as a daughter. For a whole hour after that, Mara recounted tales. Short tales. Tales which were amusing of my Mom and Dad. Tales which wouldn't make the history books. Tales of how my mother sneaked out of class. Tales of my parents racing each other in the forest. Of my mom climbing up the tree and refusing to get down.

“Please, Miss Felicia…” Rose whispered. “My son did nothing wrong. I'm telling you the truth.” For a moment, something moved in Felicia’s eyes. Rose couldn't tell what it was. Part pity, part doubt. “Please, leave now,” Miss Felicia said. Her voice sounded final. Rose fell to her knees. “Please, I'm a single mother. He's all that I have,” she cried. Rose’s words shook her, her heart melted as she turned to Rose. She could feel her pain.

"What did that guy do to her?" "What didn't he do, damn it? But love just makes you an idiot, that's all I can say. Although, with the woman he got, I'm surprised she didn't kill him sooner. I'll just tell you it's very similar to what happened with your parents; the mafia guy ended up being tamed by a petite woman." He starts laughing, and my laughter joins his because I know it's true; my mother, despite being so short, can silence my father with just a glance.

My mother could drug minds. Who was Mother?

” My mother smiles and says, “ Let us change a topic. You do not seem happy. What's up?” I smile embarrassedly. “ I... I do not know what to say. It is a pretty long story.” My mother kisses me on the forehead as if I am a baby. “It is OK, honey. Your mother always has enough time for you and your long stories.You do not have to be logical as if you are making a report. You can say whatever you want to say and whatever you think of. Mom always wants to listen to your stories.”

Their lives weren't as horrible as mine and I am glad. "There is much to know, Abel. I doubt that you have time to hear it all now," Mother replies. "And I too am curious about all the stories I have heard. We would need a day to tell it all." The Stories she has heard, I wonder how many are good, and how many are as bad as my life has been before now. "What have you heard?" I ask. A smirk curves on her lips. "About you and the Empress, so much that I doubt it all can be -"

McKenna’s POV “Tell me the story again, mama!” I begged. “You’ve heard me tell the story a million times, pup,” my mother chuckled. “Please!” I begged. “Okay,” she smiled. I cozied up on her lap in anticipation of one of my favorite tales of the past. It was my favorite story even if I didn’t completely understand it. The world we lived in seemed quite complicated. “Settle down, little one,” my mother chuckled. “Sorry, I’m just excited, mama,” I laughed.

She has aged, reminding him of how long it was since he last seen her. “How have you been lately? I heard you are planning on releasing another story?” Mother asked, as Xavier's eyes widened. “Seriously? You read my stories?” He asked, confused. He was a hardcore romantic writer, and the last thing he needed was corrupting his mother who was a nun. “I have eyes and ears, Xavier. Just because you abandoned me, doesn't mean that i get to do that too. That's a mother's job to know where her prodigal son is.”Catherine said, as Xavier bent his head in shame.

My mother, Sophie Nash, was also my homeroom teacher, and she loved nothing more than using me to assert her authority. She was convinced that the worse off I was, the more afraid my classmates would be, and the higher her authority would be. Once, when I passed an eraser to a classmate during class, she slapped me so hard across the face in front of the whole class that my face swelled up. Another time, after I secretly ate a crumb of a classmate’s snack during recess, my mom dragged me up to the front of the classroom and pricked my lip with a needle until blood gushed out. Your daughter is just like you, she can't fall for my trick so easily."he said. "She hasn't realized that you are a writer and you can create stories out of nowhere."she said.
