There's so much I have to think about. I climb in the shower.

There was a bathtub in the corner and a shower beside it. I stepped into the shower and turned it on, letting the warm water wash my anxiety away, albeit a little before the image of him in a towel alone came to my mind. Those killer muscles. Those hot abs. "Oh my goddess, what am I thinking about?" I couldn’t help but tremble as lust and heat pooled below. The water could do nothing to help. I exhaled sharply and breathed in several times to calm myself down as I took the soap beside me and began to scrub.

This is my wife's life. The nurse gets me in the shower, situated on the seat built into the wall. When she closes the door to the bathroom, I lean forward, letting the water beat down on my head and neck, my face covered by a tired hand. The tears flow freely, and so does the self-loathing. The sounds of the stream hitting the tile fades into the background as my self-deprecating thoughts take over.

For a moment, the world was muffled, softened by the steady rush of water, and I breathed in the steam-heavy air, feeling it settle something deep inside me, even if only temporarily.

She shook her head as she stepped into the shower. She made it quick, not wanting to stay hidden too long. As she washed, her hands gliding over her body, she closed her eyes and wondered what it would be like to be in the shower with Clint, his hands scrubbing her flesh. She could feel her nipples shriveling up in anticipation as her imagination saw him standing in the shower with her, his breath on her neck as his hands reached from behind and wrapped around her. As the heat between her legs began to boil, she took a deep breath and forced herself to turn the water off before her thoughts led to her running him out of hot water.

I shuddered, unsure whether it was the scorching water or the mere thought of him that sent me into a frenzy. Finally, I turned off the water, stepped out of the shower, and wrapped myself in a plush towel. The cool air kissed my damp skin, providing a stark contrast to the heated thoughts that continued to consume me. I made my way to the bedroom, hoping that the familiar embrace of my bed would banish him from my mind.

I had slept for the better part of the day and needed to hurry. While washing away the sins of my past night, thoughts of Jace appeared inside my mind. I clenched my legs at the sudden yearning to see him again. With the water streaming down my face, I touched the shower walls until I felt the water handle and turned the knob until the rain turned cold. My teeth chattered, and I left the shower once my thoughts became clearer. I had enough things to think about, so I didn’t understand why my mind told me to find Jace.

If that had happened, I wondered how I would have felt right now because I already felt like shit. All of a sudden, I felt the need to be clean and I walked into the bathroom and entered the shower immediately enjoying the water as it fell all over my body, washing away the terrible thoughts that filled my head. It worked but immediately I turned off the water and got out of the shower, they all came rushing back.

Asher swallowed hard. “You look even better than I imagined. When you’re done I’ll bring you a towel.” Asher said and he left the bathroom. I didn’t want to leave the tub. It felt save in the water and my body felt relaxed. Even after the water had gone cold, I stayed. My mind started to wonder off, to fucking thoughts I didn’t want to have. I put my head under water, trying to get rid of them. Shouting at myself under water. “Fucking stop it, Leia. Stop it! STOOOOP”

However, Thoughts hand comes out, gripping my wet wrist tightly, leading back into the shower as he opens the door widely. It hits me in that moment, that I’m not embarrassed that my mate is seeing me naked right now. He doesn’t look at my body, but instead my eyes, trying to read my expression. He is here through my mind right now, not in person. Yet my body reacts to the sight of him all the same. “What are you doing here?” I breathe, leaning my back against the shower wall. Thought leans across, hand behind me, before turning the water on himself. I flinch, as he grins. “Didn’t mean to interrupt your shower.”
