Inside the small private sitting room, Svetlana was waiting for her, seated elegantly in a burgundy velvet armchair. “Ma’am,” Svetlana inclined her head respectfully. Natália entered without haste, closing the door behind her. She walked to the opposite armchair and sat down with all the grace that blood and tradition demanded, crossing her legs impeccably. For a few moments, she remained silent, staring at the unlit fireplace in front of her. Then she spoke in the soft, polished voice that was her signature: “The elixir has become useless.” Svetlana lowered her eyes, in a rare display of discomfort.

Her smile widened just slightly. “Men like him pretend power matters most,” she continued. “But loneliness always catches up eventually.” Then her eyes flicked toward the studio around me. Natalia leaned her shoulder against the heavy oak doorframe, crossing her arms in a way that felt entirely possessive of the penthouse layout. She knew this place. She had walked these halls long before I was ever dragged into them. “Men like him pretend power matters most,” she continued, her crimson lips curving into an elegant, venomous smile. “But loneliness always catches up eventually. They crave an anchor. Someone to hold the line when the rest of the world is trying to bleed them dry.”

SERUM CARRIER CONFIRMED. Natasha stared at the words without blinking. The room fell into complete silence. And for the first time, Project Eden knew Natasha Reese was alive.

Aurora Silence swallowed the room whole. It wasn’t the ordinary kind of silence. It was the kind that pressed against your lungs. The kind that made the air feel poisoned. None of us moved. Natasha’s name still hung between us like a loaded weapon. Simon broke first. “It’s not like she’s done it,” he muttered, voice low, strained. “It’s just—” “You’re in denial.” Daniel didn’t even raise his voice. He didn’t need to.

The machines hummed quietly. Natasha stared at the ceiling, unable to close her eyes. The world outside was calm, too calm. But deep inside her, beneath the stillness, something stirred. A faint static flickered behind her eyelids. For a second, she thought she heard it, a whisper in her own voice. “You can’t destroy what was built to survive.” Her pulse spiked. The monitor beside her beeped rapidly. She gripped the sheet, whispering to herself, “You’re gone. You’re gone.”

Marcus tried to pull me toward the exit. "No." I yanked my arm free. "I want to hear this." On stage, Natasha pulled out a remote. Clicked. A screen descended behind her. Images began to flash. "Ladies and gentlemen," Natasha's voice rang out, triumphant and cruel. "Let me tell you about Elena Sterling's real past..."

They would meet their deaths at the hands of the Siren sisters. She looked over to Alex, her red eyes had darkened to an almost black and her canines were protruding from her mouth, piercing her lips, she gave Thea a silent nod in agreement. Following the de-branding ritual, the power binding spell definitely paled in comparison though, it was a welcomed change. Neither Thea, nor Penny or Alex could’ve witnessed Lissa in that much pain again. They all sat huddled on the sofas as they sipped their tea. Penny has made the most fragrant combination she could think of in an attempt to disguise the smell of burnt flesh.

Lightsticks beamed brightly in the darkness, flooding the space with vibrant hues. "Silence speaks for those who listen." Kyle's magnetic voice came through as he jumped down the swing. The music gradually grew louder. "This song tells the story of a boy who took forever to understand the whispers of his silence, finally losing the girl he loves," he continued. "Hope you'll enjoy it."

ALESSA’S POV The room felt unbearably still, like the air itself had been sucked out. The silence was so heavy it pressed against my ears, making my heartbeat pound loudly in my chest. I watched Natasha sit there, so fragile and small, almost like a shadow of the woman I thought I knew. Her shoulders shook just a little, like a wall built to protect her was quietly falling apart, piece by piece. Every part of her seemed to be holding on by the tiniest thread, barely there, barely keeping her upright.

He turned toward the direction of the shot that had just struck his shoulder. “Damn it! Where did that come from?!” he cursed, clutching his arm as blood began to pour out. What was truly unsettling— Natasya did not scream. She did not show even the slightest trace of fear on her beautiful face. Instead, she sat upright… A faint smile curling on her lips—cold, dangerous, and utterly terrifying in the face of death. “I may have stayed silent… but that doesn’t mean I don’t know what you’ve been planning behind my back,” Natasya whispered to herself.
