Alpha’s Enemy, Alpha’s Mate

Alpha’s Enemy, Alpha’s Mate

Chapter 115 closed not with noise, but with choice—a refusal to chase acknowledgment, a refusal to mistake silence for power. The system had tried to erase him by withholding reaction. Instead, it had taught him something dangerous: Visibility was optional. Existence was not. And somewhere beyond the reach of silence, Aiden had already begun to speak again. Aiden didn’t sleep that night. The silence followed him everywhere—not loud enough to accuse, not sharp enough to resist. It simply existed, filling spaces where voices used to be. Even the bond felt quieter, not weakened, but muted by the absence of outside response.

The Alpha King's Shadow

The Alpha King's Shadow

Selene is realizing that silence has a lot to say. It isn't just an empty space. It grows, filling up all the little gaps, like the space between one breath and the next, the times when her gut used to scream warnings. When she wakes up, she can feel it pressing on her back, and it sits behind her eyes if she goes too long without speaking. It doesn't feel mean, but it's not friendly either. It's just... there.

When Monsters Mate

When Monsters Mate

Lydia’s POV Grief is not loud. It is not screaming, or wailing, or even the sound of glass shattering. It is quiet. It creeps in when no one is watching, when the world has gone to sleep and the only thing left is silence. Silence that digs into your bones, silence that mocks you because you know the person you loved will never break it again. That’s what Rina’s absence feels like. A silence so sharp I feel like it has replaced my blood with knives.

The Billionaire's Contract Wife

The Billionaire's Contract Wife

Power didn’t announce itself with violence. It arrived softly. Grace felt it the next morning, in the absence of sound. No messages. No threats. No frantic calls from allies or enemies alike. Silence—clean, deliberate, and deeply unsettling. Jordan noticed it too. He stood at the window long after dawn, coffee untouched in his hand, eyes scanning the street below with a predator’s patience. “He’s gone quiet,” Jordan said finally. Grace leaned against the doorframe. “That’s worse, isn’t it?”

The Silence I Broke

The Silence I Broke

" Boom— The thunder hit like it was aimed at me. Like something inside me just ripped apart. I wanted to vanish. To curl up somewhere no one could see me. But where? It was all rain. All thunder. All his voice, laughing. Then William called. "Joelle?" His voice was so calm, it cut through everything—the thunder, the rain, even the echo of Nathan's voice. "Are you crying?" I wanted to say no. Really tried. But nothing came out. And like my silence gave him the answer, the tears just broke loose. "Stay where you are," he said, steady as ever. "I'm coming to get you." *** Nathan was single again. A bunch of spoiled rich kids threw a "singles party" at the club, drowning in shots and laughs.

Marked Against My Will

Marked Against My Will

His silence is not uncertainty. It’s calculation. And somewhere deep beneath the settlement, the land settles into stillness — not dormant, not dead. Waiting to see who will come back without being asked.

The Silent Siren

The Silent Siren

The drive over to the apartment was filled with an uncomfortable silence. Unasked questions hung in the air like a thick fog. Beads of sweat prickled on the back of the drivers neck as he too was smothered by the tension in the car. The seconds felt like minutes as the road seemed to stretch longer and longer before her eyes. Letting her eyes close, Thea suppressed a sigh as she leant her head against the window, she ignored the drumming of her head against the window as they drove over the bumpy terrain. Bellamy’s words playing on repeat in her head, ‘like our souls recognise each other’.

Locked in Silence

Locked in Silence

The basement was cold, damp, and oppressive. Stephen brought me only one meal a day. At first, I was utterly terrified, so frightened that I forced my eyes open wide in the darkness, straining to see anything. When a rat scurried by, my heart pounded uncontrollably. As a mute, however, no matter how terrified I was, I couldn't make a sound. All I could do was curl up against the wall, clutching myself tightly and trembling as fear consumed me.

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Blind Alpha And His Unwanted Mate

Sophia We walk in silence, the sounds of the forest enveloping us. The crunch of leaves beneath our feet, the distant call of an owl, the soft whisper of the wind through the trees—these are the only noises that fill the air between us. Yet, the silence isn’t empty. It’s thick, almost alive, vibrating with all the things left unsaid, all the emotions neither of us is willing to voice.

the alpha is supposed to be blind, it’s the whole premise of the book, yet the author constantly describes him as “seeing” people’s blood shot eyes, watching people walk away, looking at himself. it’s sloppy, bad writing. i don’t recommend the “sometimes not quite blind alpha”
Sirena Mares
Interesting characters. Interesting werewolf lore. I just hope the author never "cures" the blind alpha as he actually is mostly capable anyway. The FL goes through quite the character development, and that's putting it mildly. The quality of the narration and writing itself is publish-worthy.

SILENCE

SILENCE

I glare at him, my brows frowned. "She most certainly does. See I pretty much know everything about our students except her. She doesn't talk about her family and nobody at The Academy seems to know anything either. Even the information given to the school after she joined was vague...” He takes a sip of his beer, his eyes trained on me, “All the school knows about the Silent Student is that she comes from a rich family that possibly has connections to the chairman and that her name is Atlas Winters. She's practically a ghost at The Academy. Did you know that her age isn’t even in our system?"
