Chained by Bond

The silence came like a held breath, silver noticed it when she woke. She lay still beneath the furs, eyes open, waiting for the familiar brush of sound along the edges of her thoughts. The whispers had become a constant companion over the past weeks, unwelcome but predictable. They curled through her mind at odd hours, pressed into her insecurities, named her fractures with cruel intimacy. This morning, there was nothing, no murmur or presence. Her chest tightened. She sat up slowly, pressing two fingers to her temple as if she could coax the sound back. The quiet stretched, deep and unnatural, like a forest emptied of birds, it was too still.

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

TIME TO FALL IN LOVE

Book 2: The Architecture of Light [The Geometry of Silence] The world did not end with a bang or a whimper; it ended with the most beautiful silence I have ever known. In the old world—the world of the Firm, the Grid, and the endless, artificial ticking of Jinyan’s clockwork heart—silence was a predatory thing. It was the space between heartbeats where a sniper aimed; it was the dead air on a comms line that meant your partner was gone. But here, in our villa perched on the jagged cliffs of the Adriatic, silence is a living, breathing tapestry. It is the sound of the tide pulling at the white pebbles below, the rustle of lemon leaves in the salt-heavy breeze, and, most importantly, the stead

The Man I Was Meant to Hate

The Man I Was Meant to Hate

I whisper. Dust is drifting through the small gap in the moonlight going through the blinds. It snatches on her hair, her eyelashes, the wobbling upsurge of her shoulders. She attempts to breathe silently, although to my ears each trembling intake of breath seems like a scream. Rylan steps somewhere past the room, with his pistol up, not making a sound and being on his guard. But his outline too sinks in the dark. The silence becomes so heavy, almost like a wire that is about to break.

When Innocence Burns

When Innocence Burns

Eleven: Silence Cecilia POV I woke to the kind of silence that feels too heavy, like the house itself was holding its breath. Sunlight slanted through the curtains in my room, painting stripes across the duvet, but there was no clatter from the kitchen, no sizzle of bacon or the rich aroma of coffee brewing. It was more than just quiet; it was a stillness that settled in my chest, cold and strange.

Was He Always Like This……?

Was He Always Like This……?

⸻ “Are you lonely?” ⸻ Silence. ⸻ Absolute silence. ⸻ The Null froze. ⸻ The darkness stopped spreading. ⸻ The collapsing futures stopped vanishing. ⸻ Even the stars became still. ⸻ Because no one had ever asked. ⸻ Not the Dreamer. ⸻ Not the Writer. ⸻ Not the Witness. ⸻ No one. ⸻ The Null stared at him. ⸻ Then answered. ⸻

Silent Memories

Silent Memories

Bathed in sweat, Alissa woke up from sleep. Immediately she sat upright in bed, her heart beat to her chest and she quickly switched on the light. Immediately she calmed down when she saw the familiar bedroom, and Hannah, too, continued to sleep peacefully. Alissa got up and went into the bathroom to wash her face. When she came back she checked her watch. It was now four thirty. She doubted she would go back to sleep. She didn't even want to go back to sleep for fear of being haunted by nightmares again. Actually, she hadn't had nightmares for a long time, but now that she had told Hannah a bit about her past, everything had come up again. She quickly put on jeans and a sweater and left the

His Heart Ruler

His Heart Ruler

Author’s POV He tried to open his eyes and failed before realising they were open. The darkness around him was heavy, oppressive, almost supernatural, it was darker than any other nights, as if someone shut off the stars and moon. But the silence was so loud that he could hear his own breathing. Roaming his eyes around he tried to figure certain shapes in that nothingness of pitch black. Except the rediating white satin curtain of the window he could see nothing. Lifting himself up from the bed he looked around to find the source of the disturbance which broke into his peaceful slumber, just a minute ago.

Ryan, I'm crazy for him and want to read more about him never been obsessed with a fictional character this much but this book got me. I really loved the concept as it's something new to read about. although Jenny seems like good character I still need more chapters to reed to feel connect with her.

well written blurb that got me interested in this book and now I'm simpinh over Ryan and Asher. damn' the two best male leads. writing is smooth and easy to get connected with. although I feel that the book is bit slow processing but again I love the way the author makes me worth while. update more.

Silent Whispers

Silent Whispers

The soothing sound of water cascading from the fountain was inviting. I walked over to the bench and took a seat. The gentle, rhythmic sound of the water was so relaxing and soothing that I didn't notice myself drifting off to sleep. The weariness of the journey, combined with the peaceful ambiance of the garden, was too much for my tired body to resist.
