Gabriel asked, his voice tight with tension. The figure hesitated for a moment, their gaze flicking toward the dark expanse of the forest. "I will give you one piece of advice. The Silent Order is always watching, always listening. They are patient, and they move in the shadows. But there is one thing they cannot control the bloodlines. The old bloodlines, those with connections to the original packs, hold the key. Seek them out. They may not have all the answers, but they know more than they are willing to admit."

Fear? “They started already,” he rasped. “Bryan’s not the only weapon they have.” My stomach twisted. “What do you mean?” His eyes darted to the leader of the Midnight Claws. She nodded, and the guards holding him let his arms down just far enough for him to talk. “The Order is more than revenants,” he said hoarsely. “They’ve been… experimenting. Dark magic mixed with the blood of wolves. They’ve built something that’s worse.”

She howled his name repeatedly, demanding he claim responsibility for her, threatening to report both him and me to the High Council of Packs otherwise. The videos spread rapidly throughout pack networks, opinions divided, with some beginning to investigate my identity. As I frowned in irritation, Nate appeared and silently took my crystal. "You're due for a holiday. We're going to the Ancient Peaks tomorrow." Before I could respond, he had already made all arrangements. When we reached the summit together and gazed across the vast wilderness, something within me finally settled. There was nothing wrong with love itself—the flaw lay in those who couldn't honor its sanctity.

The members of Silverfang pack were dealing with a lot, and I could sense the unease in everyone I spoke to. The fear and concern over the rogue attacks was at least turning into a determination to stamp out the threat, especially now that we knew who was behind it. But the confusion over “my” orders not to send aid, the “illness” I’d been suffering, the revelations about Sabrina being behind the attacks on her own kingdom and then turning out not to be an actual Royal at all - It was a lot to take in. “Sir,” Beta Evan said from the doorway of my office, “I have those lists you asked for.”

Broken furniture, shattered windows, cracks in the walls. "What happened here?" Jaxon and Lucien exchanged guilty glances. "We had a disagreement," Lucien said carefully. "You fought." It wasn't a question. "While I was unconscious." "We worked it out," Jaxon said quickly. "We're cooperating now. I promise." I wanted to be angry, but I was too tired. Too much pain. "Tell me about the hunters." They exchanged another look, this one more serious. "They're called the Order of the Silver Dawn," Lucien began. "They're an international organization that's been hunting supernatural beings for over a thousand years. They believe we're threats to humanity that need to be eliminated."

My past was unknown, and the pack had adopted me as a pup. Lucas leant forward, his eyes piercing through the layers of deception. "Anya, you're not like the others. You're special. Do you know what it means to be a silver wolf?" A furrow deepened on my forehead. "Silver wolf? I've never heard of that." Lucas sighed, as if grappling with the weight of a revelation. "You are one of the rare species of silver wolves, one of the last in the world. It comes from a lineage that is known for its strength, agility, and connection to forces beyond our comprehension.

Dozens of glowing eyes emerged from the trees. Cassien was already transforming, his body lengthening. “Werewolves.” Erevos stepped forward. “How many?” Logan’s expression was calm. “Enough.” The wolves emerged from the darkness, their eyes locked on us. They weren’t wearing the insignias of our packs. Their eyes were silver. All of them. Cassien’s expression was grim. “Who are they?” Logan whispered, “The Order.” The wolves surged forward. Cassien was the first to attack, knocking the nearest warrior to the ground. Erevos vanished in a blur of red.

When he turned back, he was the unapproachable Alpha once again, though the corners of his eyes were still faintly red. "There's no rush. I'll wait until you're ready." It was late when we arrived on neutral territory. Just like in my memory, there was a problem with our reserved safe house. "What the hell? This is our safe house!" Clara snarled, her claws extending. Standing at the door were several burly werewolves from the rival Blood Moon Pack. Their leader spat. "First come, first served. Unless you want to start a fight right here?" Kaiden's eyes turned predatory, and the temperature around him seemed to drop.

His black hair falls slightly over his brow, but it's his eyes—a striking, cold violet-silver—that freeze the entire courtyard in place. Beside him walks Tristan Hale, his silver-handled dagger twirling lazily between his fingers, a wicked smirk on his face. Behind them, stepping out of the dark like a ghost, walks Order Whitmore—the legendary master of the Black Sun Council, the most feared combat scholar in all of Westmere. Every head of the local packs turns pale as death. "Order Whitmore..." Everett whispers, bowing his head so low his forehead nearly touches the concrete. "Mr. Ravenscroft..."

"Got you now, you son of a bitch." Minos took several deep breaths as he pulled his sword out, letting Nymgos bleed on the roof. Rei and Otheric stepped back as well to gather their bearings. As the thick cloud pulled away revealing the moon behind it, something clicked on Otheric's head. He looked up with fear and followed the beam of moon light shining down on them. "No... I forgot to mention..." he said, shaking. "What?" asked Minos. "He is part of the Silver Moon Order."
