He knew better what it was gonna cost after what had happened. The Danvers had a lot of allies.

I replied, and he left. I knew what they were about to say. Simon had warned me that being silent about Alvin was only going to buy me time to make up my mind on what I'd tell the council, they wouldn't be satisfied forever with just my silence, and it turned out that it was on a morning that I was happy that they decided to show up and ruin it all for me.

To Laura's and Jennifer's surprise, Simon acted as if he didn't recognize them. Instead, he walked straight toward Miguel. "Simon?" Miguel was delighted and immediately stood up to hug him.
