I shrug my shoulders. “I just assumed someone was trying to kill me.” “Kill you?” he laughs menacingly. “In order for someone to want to kill you, you would need to be significant.” “Significant enough for your Rogue King to continually attack my pack.” I retort. Simon rolls his eyes and huffs back into his seat. “He heard a whisper, and he followed it on the wind,” he says begrudgingly. “Oh, and what whisper would that be?” “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

What Ray really wanted to know was how Mary compared to Lucas. If she were only on Lucas's level, he could crush that faction outright without any hesitation. Channing glanced at Ray. Seeing that his expression remained calm and unreadable, Channing felt a flicker of disappointment. He had hoped to see some tension on Ray's face—if Ray grew uneasy, it would be much harder for him to refuse the proposal that was coming next. Still, he had to test the waters first. "Ray, let me introduce this man to you." Channing pointed at Simon. "His name is Simon. Like us, he's an ability user. His power is… communicating with satellites and reading all server data, bypassing any firewall."

In an instant, I was floating above my own body. Just then, the dorm door was kicked open. The white-haired boy rushed inside. His face was a storm of fury and disbelief. Lily snatched the box and jumped out the window. Aaron ran straight to me, gathering my “corpse” in his arms. His expression was pure terror. “Ivy…” But my body remained cold. My soul had already left the simulated game body. Half an hour passed… Aaron never once let go of me. His hands were shaking. And only then did I realize something terrifyingly wrong.

I thought that was why you called me over. I felt you were in pain." Scarlett scoffed. "And how would you know that? Your wizard powers?" After a moment of silence, Simon started to sniff. "Are you okay? Is my room smelling bad?" She groaned. "I told Belly not to use that air freshener." "You are so clueless," Raven groaned. "Found you," Simon said with a smile. He had a smirk on his face, which perplexed Scarlett. "We finally got to meet. I'm Simon."

“Conlan Frasier at your service, my angel.” I wrap my hand around his and smile when he kisses my hand. That’s when I notice the mark. Supernatural beings are usually identified in several ways. Demons, werewolves, vampires, and other underworld creatures usually have a tattoo of some kind. Angels do not. I mean, we can have tattoos, but we’re not born with them, and they certainly don’t look like they can come out of your body.

Ignoring him I made my way back into the living room where Simon stood looking out the window and Thomas slept. The rogues that had been piled on Travis' floor were no longer there, turning to Simon who had turned his attention to me, I waited for an explanation. "They just poofed." Simon blurted startling Thomas awake. "Poofed?" I asked confused. "What do you mean they just poofed?" "I mean they just disappeared!" Simon answered looking both scared and excited. "I was standing here minding my own business while that one snoozed and then suddenly there was a sizzling sound and the dead rogues just vanished!"

She was bathed in purple and it was creeping up on Ronnie who was clearly unbothered. “You better know what you’re doing” she heard her thoughts loud and clear and she too was bathed in purple and soon the entire apartment. Slowly the light died down. “Did it work?” Danny whispered. “Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that?!” she sounded angry. There was a chance that it didn’t work. “Why did you come to me anyway?” “You’re one of the strongest Supernaturals I know”. “Touching” she rolled her eyes.

It was surreal. “You shouldn't be looking at that,” Simon’s voice sounded behind me. I felt his strong hands rest on my shoulders—a touch that usually grounded me, but today felt like a fragile barrier against the tsunami crashing from the screen. “I need to know, Simon,” I replied, without looking away. “I need to see the scale of the circus he’s built.”

There Simon was standing with a smug smile on his face. Susanna squinted her eyes at him. "So you are behind all this?" Simon walked forward marching towards Susanna. "Yes. It was all my plan to make you know what you have become now." He was sounding mysterious. "Don't beat around the bush. Come to the point and tell me what do you mean by that. What have I become now?" Susanna sneered at him.
