Siren: Blood Curse Novels & Stories

I can't let her come in-between my senses of reasoning. I paced to the study room and picked up the book I have on my table. I have not been able to get to another page. I am just at one page ever since. The curse is something I wouldn't love anyone to know about because I don't know how to break it. The curse is a difficult thing and now that she has known, the bond from our fate would act as a catalyst to put us together. I couldn't really concentrate on the book. I will open a page, read small. Before I know it, I am already thinking heavily again.

Why are you here? Shouldn't you be reading some other story instead? I mean, who wants to hear about some cursed woman that is responsible for the death of her entire pack? Women, children, warriors. The Alpha and Luna. So many innocents died that night because of me you know..... turn away before it's too late. Please. You're.... still here? What do you mean you don't believe in my curse?! ........ listen, sir or ma'am or....... person? It doesn't matter who or what you are, this will find you and hurt you. My heart pounds so hard I’m sure it will burst. “Vaelora.” The voice is distant. Muffled. Aching. I squeeze my eyes shut. This isn’t real. It can’t be. It feels like a story I once heard. A nightmare I’ve had before. But the heat is real. It seeps through the walls. Through the floor. Through my skin. A scream splits the air. A woman’s scream. Blackness swarmed my vision as I heard tires squealing, causing me to lurch forward, the seat belt catching me. "Cameron?" I heard my name in the distance, but the voice seemed far away, and I didn't want to reach for it. I wanted to succumb to the quiet away from the physical strain my body yielded to. "Cameron! Baby, come back to me." The voice was closer, but I just wanted to move from it. My head hit something hard, jolting me back to a semi-conscious state. "Cameron. Open your eyes and look at me." Dax. Sylvanus, who was a wise and experienced, examined Jalen and smiled "Don't worry about it. His system is probably cleansing from the curse."he said with a calm and reassuring tone. I remembered that Jalen had been cursed by the moon and with that realization, I felt so happy that finally, Jalen was free from the moon's curse. Jalen moaned with discomfort and my heart raced as I watched him. When he finished I flushed and hugged him tightly and whispered in his ear " You are free now, my love." I watched as the color in his face returned and the strength in his body came back. I knew that he would be okay now.
