The call never came. She waited for days. Days turned into weeks. She found herself grief-stricken, couldn't find it in her head what could've caused him not to call. She kept going over it in her mind, all the scenarios that lead to other possibilities and another and another, none of them resolved her anxiety, because the call just didn't come.

IRENE

IRENE

Only a matter of time. Le temps nous le dira. * TWENTY FOUR HOURS EARLIER Her hair stood on its edge as the sound of the sirens drew closer. She couldn’t believe it, in a moment of a panic attack— —that she was finally caught. It had been barely two days since she left Nick and her clothes were torn and drenched in last night’s rain. She was only admiring how well the sun had risen that morning and now, she had her name being held from a distant megaphone.

Silhouette

It made me sick. But what else could I do? The only option I had was whore myself out and I doubted anyone would want an inexperienced girl from the back country as a whore. I sighed, placed my head on the wall of the elevator and pulled out my phone. I noticed someone get in after me, but I didn’t pay them any mind, just called Sandra and waited for her to pick up. I needed to tell someone, if not I would probably start crying. And crying was the last thing I wanted to do; it was symbolic with giving up. And I hadn’t given up yet!

WOLVIRE

He turned my body by force and looked at something on my back. “The seal has been released, Burhan,” my grandfather whispered in fear. “The Cursed will soon find this child!” I turned so fast and almost swayed backwards. I was stunned again for a moment, but what Gran had said made me conscious. “What do you mean by the Cursed?” I asked confused. “And what seal do you mean? What is the function of that seal? Where is it on my body?” “Varsan Seal,” Gran answered tense. “You… since when did you talk about vampires with Adrian's son?”

SATOU, D.
The story was very detailed. It was good. I like how the author made it. It was like a professional estimated novel. Good for the readers who can understand better. Notw: I skipped the news and more. I scanned it. 10 for the scene. 8 for the dialogue. Over all almost 10.
Lyra Venom
The storyline is quite interesting, although we don't that need the news part so much. The dialogue and the scene is balanced, so far. I mean, it's like 50/50 if I may say. Overall, good. Can't wait for another chapter and cliffhanger 🙈

Whispers of Sikar

Whispers of Sikar

"Firstborn of the Sky Woman, Sel, patron of the Seluitah tribe, conceals itself within the moon and envelops our world in the light it reaps from the sun. This it does to protect the world from the powers of the Darkness." Lyda nodded her head in affirmation. That was exactly how Iris described the Light Twin, even by name. She turned the parchment over and resumed her smearing routine. This side of the page appeared similar to other. The invisible passage was revealed and a name was written at the top of the page. This one Lyda had never heard before, and she could not help but whisper aloud as she read it. "SIKAR." The gust of wind suddenly swept through the spring again, but this time, it

an exhausted Isa blurted out. The siren went on like a rogue alarm clock through the night. The air seemed to stop dead in its tracks. The ghostly humming of the forest paled in comparison with the monstrous bellows of the siren, echoing through the long-dead streets. After a few repeats, a female voice replaced the siren.

The Lost Angel: Pilgrims

“But I am free the whole day Miranda did not smile. She just watched her kin down below. The Siren was unexpected and she needed more blood than what she required to destroy the veil. The Sacred Place was just a myth. But if it’s found, the former world would soon dawn again, healing the rift of the Great Silenc

Whispers Beneath The Rain

But not afraid. And just as she began to speak— The wind stirred. The river whispered louder. And somewhere in the distance, a sound broke the stillness. Alex’s gaze flickered briefly. Then returned to her. Still waiting. Still hopeful. Still there. And her answer… Remained just beyond reach.

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

MY CRUEL PROTECTOR

POV RUBY The Siren’s Wake cut through the choppy black waters of the Irish Sea like a blade. Behind us, the fiery orange glow of the Docklands was nothing more than a bleeding scar on the horizon. The roar of the engine was a constant, low-frequency thrum that vibrated through the floorboards and up into my very bones. Silas was at the helm, his silhouette a grim statue against the spray-flecked glass of the cabin, leaving Nevan and me alone in the cramped, dimly lit quarters below deck.

Let Her Wail

Let Her Wail

After we entered the venue, perhaps because she noticed we were foreign guests, a waitress explained the funeral proceedings to us. She could not help but add a warning, "According to Eravalen aristocratic customs, wailing is not permitted during the service..." The moment the waitress walked away, Mia raised an eyebrow. "Hmph. She's just jealous because I'm prettier than her. She's afraid her employers will notice me!" Paige nodded eagerly in agreement. "Women who serve the nobility are always scheming."
