A massive black wolf burst through the trees ahead. Kyrian skidded to a halt. Damon. Their eyes met. The bond flared violently, alive despite everything. For one heartbeat, Damon almost reached for him. “Kyrian,” Damon said, breathless. “Stop.” Kyrian took a step back. Warriors surrounded them, forming a loose circle. Damon said quietly. “Turn back.” Kyrian shook his head. “I won’t be erased,” he said. His voice trembled but it did not break. “I won’t be hidden or locked away so you can stay comfortable.”

But then I see his brows knitting together and lips moving with his eyes still closed. Curiosity kicks in me, I lean close to hear what he was mumbling to himself and I regret my decision instantly. “…control freak…," I stilled. He was cursing me in my sleep. He then pauses for a second and said, “…manipulative bastard…” Woah, that's harsh! A faint scoff left him even in his sleep. “…Adrian Blackwood…," I let out a slow breath. “We can’t act like there are things unsaid.” Sirius' eyes narrow slightly, his playful demeanor fading. “What is there to talk about, Lissie?” he asks, his voice steady but with an edge of irritation. “We both know what this is.” I take a deep breath, feeling the weight of my words pressing against my chest. “Sirius, we can’t keep doing this,” I say, my voice trembling. “I’m still Alston’s fiancée. I feel guilty for being with you. It’s not fair to him, and it’s not fair to us.”

Sabrina continued and I nodded. “I won’t. But in the meantime what do I do? I still have my sister on the run with the women’s kids and probably even more people. She has kidnapped them and ran away to the human world. I have to go there and end her,” I said with determination in my tone. “Your sister, Amanda Blackwood. She is the strongest witch to live since the ancient princess of Aretuza. It’s a shame that she channeled all that power to causing havoc,” Sabrina said and I could hear her sigh.
