Can Skylar get past her past and live the life she wants? ****************** Skylar 6th grade: I’m walking into school behind my brother and Oliver, one of his best friends. They really don’t pay any attention to me and only let me follow them to school because Mary makes them bring me. Mary is my nanny, she has been with me as long as I can remember. My dad is the beta of the pack and really busy, so Mary was brought on to teach me how to ‘behave like a lady,’ which basically means teach me to be silent unless spoken to and out of the way of the men. She does nothing of the sort, but my dad doesn’t know that, as long as I make a good show when he’s around.

Skylar was making her way toward us through the crowd. "Do you know who she is? I've never seen that face." He licked his lips. My irritation sharpened. "That is my fiancée, Skylar Adams." My voice came out flat. "Where did you find her, Lawson? Excellent taste as always." He licked his lips again. I exhaled slowly. Ivan and Natalia were two sides of the same coin. They just operated in different directions. Neither of them had ever seen a reason to keep their appetites to themselves.

I was about talking when Anita came over. "Hmm...What's going on here?" she asked Lexy putting her hand on lexy's shoulder. "Kelsi here is the daughter of our maid that was sent out of the house last month...." Lexy replied her, looking at me with disgust, ".... And she had the guts to lie to me, telling me her dad is abroad overseeing his business there" I felt ashamed of myself that moment. "Wait! What?" Is he straight? I ask myself. My wolf is swimming in jealousy, envying the calendar bikini girl. Ryan, tear this calendar and that dog's picture, break all the computers and tables. Dakota screams in my head. "I have an extra if you like it this much." I knew who said that because my heartbeats instantly fasten hearing his smug voice. I turn my head, glaring at my mate. Does this human even know who I am?

“Please tell me that you are not referring to Sienna as your daughter.” “Do you see Sienna being a sharp wolf? As far as I'm concerned, she's nothing but an Omega. A smart and strong one I will admit, but that is all.” I said, staring down at the picture of the woman that I once loved before putting it away. “But yes, you do have a sister just as much as she does.” I turned toward her, the wicked smile stretching across my face. “She doesn’t know. Neither does Damon. But the girl exists. They have tried finding her for years before they passed away. Kael and Evelyn believed her to be dead a long time ago. They never bothered looking. And now… she will return.”

resumed the young woman, watching her watch. "You've been sleeping for exactly thirty three hours." Taken aback, Skylar just stared at her, wondering who she could be, even though her voice sounded familiar. She sat down next to Skylar and held out her hand. "I'm lyra, I'm 20 years old" Skylar shook the young woman's hand and replied, "Skylar, 19." The young woman chuckled. "There's no need to introduce yourself, everyone here knows you. You're the wolf who dared dating with Asher, the son of the terrible lycan king." ironically, she burst out laughing.

She didn't care about Sienna's harsh words at all. During the four years abroad, she often dreamed of this child. She thought how happy and satisfied she would be if she could see him in her life. And now, this dream had actually come true. "What are you still doing here? Scram!" Sienna suddenly felt a little scared. Skylar had totally changed in the past four years. In the past, she was weak and easy to bully. Last time, when she walked the catwalk on the stage, she displayed all her charm, which indeed could seduce men. Therefore, she was afraid that Skylar would attract Connor's attention and steal her thunder.

Although she was smiling, she had a faraway look in her eyes. “Are you alone?” Steffan repeated Racheal’s question. “Yes.” Skylar said, and flipped her phone camera for them to see her surroundings. She was sitting alone outside near a private pool. She turned the camera on herself again. “Where is Hamza? When are you coming home?” Steffan asked. “Next week,” Skylar replied. “That is one long honeymoon,” Steffan grumbled. “I have a surprise for you when you get back.”

She’s got this calmness about her and she’s softly spoken. Skylar, on the other hand, is the bitchy friend. She’s the tallest of the three, with long fiery red hair, fair skin and blue eyes. I don’t mind Skylar, but she’s a bit full-on, unlike Mira and Lex. I’ve been dodging her come on’s for years. I’m sure she’s slept with half the guys on my football team, and boy, have I heard stories. And then there's Wyatt, the gay best friend. He’s hilarious, and we’ve known him since we were kids. He lives on our street a couple of doors down. If he weren’t gay, he’d be my competition. The kid looks like he belongs on billboards and magazine covers. The definition of tall, dark and handsome fits him

I'm not sure what I'm looking for, but as long as I'm not looking back to match Rylan's scrutinising gaze, I'm fine. "You know, I would like to meet the Moon Goddess eventually." "She goes by Millicent." "That's useless to know if I never actually meet her," I retort, deciding that the only thing in the fridge I might like is an apple. I pull it out and turn around, facing Rylan. His arms are still over his chest, his gaze heavy with irritation. I take a bite, noticing how he wasn't going to reply as I continue, "Where's Kaden?"
