I stared at the book then at him then back at the flickering candles.

Chapter 21 EYARE I woke up to the chatter of birds chirping. With my eyes still closed, I searched for her but my hands came up empty. The bed was still warm. Her scent filled my nostrils and I breathed in deeply. I loved waking up with her in my arms. Where could she have gone? I heard the creaking of the bed and felt it dip. Her scent was stronger now. See what it gives you.” Sierra nods at us before bringing her armful of six smaller books to the table and pulls out a stool to begin with her own search. She looks as determined as Meadow does, who already has her pages flicking fast and furiously as she scans the words. Meadow lifts her chin and frowns at me as though she thinks Sierra is a bit mental for telling us to feel rather than read the pages and I shrug, telling her to do

SIERRA The blaring alarm wakes me up from my sleep. I did not sleep well at all. The entire night I dreamt about a black wolf with dark blue eyes. The blue eyes felt very familiar but I am sure that I do not know who that black wolf was. That's the reason why I kept waking up in the middle of the night. If I come across this werewolf, I am surely going to have his head on a platter for destroying my beauty sleep. Because of him I am going to look so ugly on the first day of my training.

The journey of Shadrach, Wynter, and the others has come to its beautiful conclusion, and I have no intentions of returning to continue their story. As much as I’m sad to close this chapter, I know it’s time for me to move on to new beginnings.
