Yet, a part of me remained vigilant, aware that our victory was but a temporary reprieve in a long and ongoing war. That night, as I settled into bed, a familiar sensation washed over me. My vision blurred, and I found myself in a dreamscape, one that felt both ancient and powerful. The surroundings shifted, and I stood before an immense, shadowy figure that exuded a malevolent aura. "Emily Blackwood," the figure intoned, its voice echoing in my mind. "You have faced many trials, but your journey is far from over. He remembered his parents, his friends, and the adventures they had gone on together. But there was something else, something darker lurking in the corners of his mind. He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was, but he knew that it was important. One night, as Jack lay in bed, he had a dream. In the dream, he was walking through a dense forest, his heart pounding with fear. He felt like something was chasing him, something dark and powerful. As he stumbled through the underbrush, he came to a clearing. In the center of the clearing stood a stone altar, and on the altar was a book. The book was bound in black leather, and its pages were filled with strange, arcane symbols.

After the boys had left my room, I went through my bag and pulled out my favorite book, Night Flame, by Catherine Hart. I sat back in my chair by the window, prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon reading when a shiver ran down my spine. I jumped out of my seat and spun around to see a pair of yellow eyes glowing in the corner of the room. As those eyes drew closer to me, I realized that it was Simon, the fae that came to warn me the other day.

Then again she had just been so relieved and giddy that she had been able to hopefully help impress Lucas into making a deal with Nathaniel. By the time the girls were back in the den, clean of sweat and glitter and all tucked up in their cots under layers of blankets and clothing to fight off the cold, Chloe had all but forgotten about her meeting with the mysterious British werewolf. Sleep came quickly, pulling her into its warm embrace when her dreams were filled with sultry hazel eyes that would glow gold. She wasn't sure how long she had been asleep but she was pulled from her dreams by someone shaking her.

Far above, the sky was already beginning to dim at the edges, like a lid lowering over an eye that didn’t sleep. On the threshold, Kaelira paused and spoke not to Zevran or Taren but to the world itself. “When the Black Moon rises,” she said, “let it watch.” And then, without looking back, she added the only promise that felt like truth: “We’re coming for you.” The arch shivered. The Court’s gates loomed. Somewhere ahead, a war-scar smiled. The bond thrummed once—thin, fierce, alive. And the three of them walked into winter.

But just as victory seemed within their grasp, an unexpected twist disrupted their triumphant moment. A deafening howl pierced the air, causing Amelia and Leo to freeze in their tracks. The ground beneath them quaked, cracks spiderwebbing across the realm. Out of the shadows emerged a colossal black wolf, its eyes glinting with an eerie luminescence. The figure, though weakened, smirked as a sinister realization dawned upon Amelia and Leo. "The Reliquary's awakening has summoned the True Alpha," the figure hissed, its voice laced with both fear and admiration.

Sira muttered and decided to close her eyes, before the alarm woke her up. Sira was engulfed in sleep, she was lulled by random dreams. In her dream, Sira found herself in the middle of a dark and mysterious forest. Tall trees towered with branches that resembled bony hands, trying to grab anyone who dared to come close. Sira felt cold and anxious, but she tried to remain calm. She tried to find a way out of the forest, but her steps felt heavy and every shadow she saw made her heart pound. Suddenly, in the distance, Sira heard the sound of heavy footsteps coming closer. She looked back and saw the figure of a man in black robes, his face hidden in the shadows, only a pair of fiery red eyes

Like two puzzle pieces finally clicking together. “I will come to you again when the time is right,” Elara promised as the dreamscape began to waver. “But before you wake – there is a grimoire, a book of ancient knowledge. You will need it. Look for the symbol of the crescent moon and falling star…” Her voice was fading. I tried to hold on to the dream, but I could feel myself being pulled back to consciousness. Everything was getting hot – too hot – and was that smoke I smelled?

Whatever game Cida was playing, I was now fully entangled in it. And I knew, deep down, that the real battle was only just beginning. Derek's POV As I grasped the book, a shiver went down my spine. It was as if the leather cover pulsed with an energy from another world. I opened it, and the crackling of the pages resounded in whispers of ancient speech. Words danced in front of my eyes, exposing cryptic messages: "The sleep of the Kyrexi is bound to the rhythm of the heart." "Simon's awakening depends on the power of the book."

I sigh as I let it out. “I need her, but she doesn’t acknowledge the bond,” I sigh. “Maybe you are mistaken,” Felix suggests wearily. “I am not mistaken,” I mumble and finish my beer before leaving. My sleep is restless, and my dreams are steamy. All of them are in my dreams tonight and now that I have met them, I know who that Japanese person invading Willow’s dreams is. I wake up early and concentrate on her dreams and as usual it is me and flashes of Hikaru, but a hint of the wolf invades here and there as well.
