I pushed the door, expecting it to be locked, but it creaked open, revealing a small room lit by a single candle. The air inside was thick, smelling of dust and old paper. Shelves lined the walls, stuffed with books and scrolls, their edges yellowed. A table sat in the center, cluttered with strange objects—a cracked crystal, a dagger with a wolf’s head hilt, a leather-bound book with no title. My fingers brushed the book, and that warmth stirred again, stronger, like a pulse. I opened it, my hands shaking. Everett said, "it's alright, you can open your eyes now." She opened her eyes and was fascinated by the beauty of the realm of black mist. There is a colourful light that looks like a galaxy. She thought frightening darkness only surrounded the realm of Black Mist. But that darkness also looks beautiful. "Should we continue our journey? Don't close your eyes," Everett said.

Allistar POV I wake up even more exhausted than the night before. I need to figure out a way to get some sleep or this is just going to get worse and I won't be any help in training the warriors. As I scanned through the first few pages of the book, it was picture after picture of different drawings and versions of what a nightwolf was portrayed to look like. Some of them were detailed to be howling at the moon, whilst several illustrations had a sort of evil and rabid look to them. Feeling the weight of fatigue, I turned to Faghri, my eyelids heavy and drooping. "Faghri, I'm really tired," I murmured, my voice carrying the innocence of a child seeking comfort from a parent. "Get some rest...tomorrow will be a busy day," Faghri replied, gently reminding me of our plans to continue searching for Rafe. I nodded, my eyes fluttering shut. The book had the smell of old paper and magic. “I felt a disturbance,” lily said, her eyes darting between Xander and me. “And then I was drawn to this book in the library. I think… I think it might have answers about the awakening.”
