Hayden pulled me backward so that my back was pressed against his front. A guy stepped out of the Ferrari, and the passenger door opened, revealing a girl who clung to his arm. The guy took off his sunglasses and locked eyes with Hayden, who appeared surprisingly calm. "Slim," the guy started, smirking. "Heard you were back, but I had to see it for myself." Hayden's chest rumbled as he spoke, his deep voice capturing my attention. "You're still the same person, I see," the guy continued, chuckling as if he wasn't just embarrassed.
