My eyes darted around the unfamiliar room of dark curtains, carved wooden walls, the faint scent of Bloodhound territory clinging stubbornly to the air. Was I dreaming? I had to be. The last thing I remembered was… No. No, I couldn’t remember. My mind felt too quiet, like it was bracing for something awful. As if sensing the shift in my breathing, Nicholas stirred. His eyes opened lazily, dark lashes lifting before he let out a sleepy grunt and pulled me closer, burying his face in my hair. “Mm… Ana,” he murmured, voice thick with sleep. “Are you okay? Feeling better?”

I was happy and glad that I have a second chance as I would make sure I don't make the same mistakes twice. Since I know what will happen in the next two years, I will do all I can to change it. Although I believe that the memory of that time was real, I still planned on confirming it. I believe that this second chance is given to me by the moon goddess, and I will live to my fullest. With those thoughts in mind, I fell asleep, it wasn't long before I woke up with a panicked look on my face as the memory of that time when I caught Dawson having sex with Arielle filled my head. It was a nightmare and a memory I wish to forget.

"Roxy, you did great. I'll take our daughter for her checkup later." Jensen Highmore's voice rang gently beside me as he held our baby in his arms, his expression soft and tender. Julian was on his side, facing away from her, his breathing the slow even rhythm of someone genuinely at rest. The nightmares had been gone since the scar treatment settled in the spring. She had been proud of that. She had held onto that as evidence of something healed.

Logan carefully put me down, then charged at Niles and they started fighting fiercely. My back hurt so much that I gasped for air. But just then, a bold idea flashed through my mind. Looking at Sophie acting crazy, I knew we couldn't keep the rebirth secret any longer. But more than the rebirth, I needed to create a role for myself. One that could guide Logan to the path I wanted. Logan and Niles were natural enemies. They fought many times. No one had won yet. While Logan was distracted, Niles grabbed Sophie and ran.

My eyes snapped open. My breathing was uneven, chest rising and falling rapidly. This wasn’t a dream. This was a past life. My hands trembled as I stared at the pendant again. I had died. And I was here again. Reborn. In the same world. With the same people. With Aurelia still alive. A slow, dangerous smile curved my lips. “So that’s how it is,” I muttered. Blue shades of energy emerged from her finger types and she looked at me one last time with a smile on her face. “You will be reborn Selene, and then you will understand.” She placed her hand on my chest and the blue energy surged into my body with terrifying force. I was thrown backward and off the barcode. I struggled to hold on to something but all there was to hold on to was…nothing. Panic seized my mind as the wind whipped at my face. Fuck, fuck, fuck…” I gasped as I struggled out of my sleep. This was not something new, I had experienced this before.

And so I stayed. Maybe it was the mate bond. Maybe guilt. But my soul refused to leave him. I thought that was it—forever stuck in limbo. Watching. Waiting. Then came the Blood Moon. Its crimson light wrapped around me like silk, igniting something ancient. Something sacred. My soul began to stitch itself back together. And then—I opened my eyes. My hands weren’t ghostly. My skin touched the sheets. I scrambled for my phone. The date. I had been reborn.

Rieka rolled her eyes, flipping the page. "Wait, personality traits?" Ralph raised his brows at her. "You know, she's just like Lupe." "Oh, yeah yeah." Rieka brows arched in realization before she took her eyes back to the book, scanning through. "Here!" "Most times, the new body is ignorant that he/she is a reborn.
