I chuckled. “He’s not wrong.”
She sipped her drink, eyes lingering. “But he forgot to mention you’re hot.”
I blinked. “You shouldn’t say that.”
“I shouldn’t,” she agreed. “But I did.”
I stared at her.
She stared back.
And then someone yelled, “Dance floor’s open!” and the living room lights dimmed to a pulsing red glow.
