I shudder at the thought of one of them sinking their fangs in me. We walked down the streets filled with so many creatures. Some I could guess what they were and some were beyond my imagination. Short fairies, tall wolves, large ogres, and an array of reptilian creatures surround us. The energy from them all made me feel powerful myself. "This would look so pretty on you!" Hailey squealed over a ruby necklace she found at one of the stands. My fingers brushed my collarbone. I never wore jewelry before. "It is pretty." I said, smiling over its beauty.

I was amazed to see the tiny creature in my palm. At such a close distance, I could see they were all insect-sized dwarves with wings that emitted light sprinklings. "Really, a fairy? Like in fairy tales and storybooks?" Wow, I was so excited and could hardly believe it. The real fairies were flying around the forest. They enveloped me in a sprinkling of bright blue and red light. On the tree's lowest branch, I saw the three jeverics perched there. They asked me to chat. They love to talk.

She thought. She walked carefully while paying attention to her surroundings. The longer Lilly walked, the more she became aware of the existence of small animals in the forest. There were white and brown rabbits jumping on each other, there were small birds flying here and there, there were butterflies and various other insects. And they started to let out their own voices. Instantly, this forest became more lively. Lilly was getting confused. Isn't this a dream? Didn’t she enjoy it too much? Suddenly she was startled by a small creature that passed quickly in front of her. Lilly quickly covered her head but a second later she realized that creature was similar to Bubble, the water fairy.

I rolled my eyes at his possessiveness, but I highly enjoyed it. "Sorry." I blushed at Dex, slightly embarrassed that he saw us having a tender moment. "We'll rest here for about 10 minutes and then I'll open the next portal. This one will take us straight inside the fairy kingdom." Fairies are small creatures no bigger than 6 inches in height. In order for others to visit the kingdom, fairies placed a magic border around them. These borders will shrink down anyone who enters so that they are the same size as a fairy. So while there we will only be 6 inches tall, but it won't feel that way since everyone around us will be that same size. It's crazy to think about really.

I had been so captivated by the pool, that I hadn’t seen her. I turn and I see she has several of the little creatures in her hand. “Come, they are as gentle as the sprites. They don’t speak, but they are adorable and they seem to love our warmth and our wolves as much as all the fae creatures.” I shift and move to sit beside her. Immediately I have several axolotls swim near me and look up at me. I lay my hand in the water and several swim into my hand, vying for space. “What are they?” I ask.

I started “Please correct me if I’m mistaken but I believe I saw some fairies flying around.” “Yes, I’m sure you did see them. Their just one of the many creatures we have here.” She answered. My eyes just went wide with amazement. “What other type of creatures do you have?” I asked curiosity just coursing through my veins. “Well, we have fairies or Fae creatures that come in may different breeds. We have a few mermaids, trolls, Centaurs, pixies, um” she listed off sitting in her chair behind the big oak desk.

I think it was cute they were called Nightlights, but I can’t help but wonder, “So they aren’t fairies?” “Oh, they’re fairies, but the subgroup is Nightlights. Small ones that glow in the dark.” Interesting. Without meaning to make it so obvious I grab the pen, or inkhold, and journal out from my satchel and write that fact down. Corvu appears to be okay with me taking down information and talks at a slightly slower pace. “Pixies are their closest relative, but most pixies are human-sized, maybe a bit smaller.” It occurs to me I should just be grateful that everyone I had met so far spoke English.
