It was not long until they saw houses built on trees, glowing beautifully while some foreign mystical creatures came out to welcome them — each one of them created in their own, unique way. One by one, people began coming out of their houses, carefully peering at the unknown, alien creatures that were shuffling behind their queen. Gasps and cacophony of murmurs filled the whole space — not just that, but everyone had their eyes on Amethyst and her companions, however, their eyes widened at the sight of Liam and Pierce. It was clear that the "tiny village" was filled only by women and young girls.

Most witches have sprites as pets in case something goes wrong with their spells. I swim that last few inches to the edge of the rock wall surrounding the spring pool that I used to take Daydra into the cave not yet getting out as I look around making sure no one and nothing has seen me. I had been so captivated by the pool, that I hadn’t seen her. I turn and I see she has several of the little creatures in her hand. “Come, they are as gentle as the sprites. They don’t speak, but they are adorable and they seem to love our warmth and our wolves as much as all the fae creatures.” I shift and move to sit beside her. Immediately I have several axolotls swim near me and look up at me. I lay my hand in the water and several swim into my hand, vying for space. “What are they?” I ask.

Pearl opened the kitchen door and witnessed utter chaos. She couldn't believe how many things that could possibly go wrong at one time, and she started to wonder just what in the hell she had done to piss the universe off so damn bad lately. Sprites...there were hundereds of stinking ass sprites running amuck in the freaking kitchen. They were nasty little critters with a few human like features. They were ugly and they smelled really bad. They had big, pointy teeth that were green brown and covered in green snot looking slobber. They were scavengers and would steal anything, especially food.

In my horrified gaze as I was spun away from certain doom I took in the imagery of a huge dog, hyena like beast as it scrambled out onto the rocky promontory where I had just been standing. It desperately fought to hold its momentum, but there were too many loose stones and with claws scraping it went over the edge with a howling screech. That wasn’t the end of it though. They gave birth to powerful witches who in turn created powerful covens. By the turn of the new millennium, other creatures had appeared. Created by other forces. Werewolves hunted alongside vampires in the night. The Fae, the most mysterious of all creatures resided in the dense forests within their fairy rings or in the still waters of the lakes and ponds in the forms of water nymphs. Gnomes and leprechauns set up home in the hills and wetlands. Other creatures which once roamed the world a plenty were becoming extinct. Creatures such as dragons and unicorns each were hunted to extinction for the magical healing qualities.

Kiara was not joking when she said there was going to be stalls. I pictured a few normal market stuffs but this place literally looks like some high-end supermarket with everything you could ever think of was being sold here, from rare clothes, shoes and even the unthinkable like mythical creatures that can be kept as pets or adopted as companions. I could see baby dragons, fairies etc my head was spinning now. It took me a while before I noticed something. My pack members stood a few metres away watching on eagerly and I could practically smell the anticipation and curiosity rolling off of them in waves.

And it was full. Faeries of all kinds filled the space, some dancing in intricate, spinning formations to the music. Others leaned against columns, laughing in low voices or sipping wine that glittered unnaturally. Pixies- small and normal sized. And then—strangest of all—creatures I hadn't seen before: tall, thin beings with mushroom-shaped crowns atop humanoid faces, their eyes too large and gentle, their expressions oddly warm as they spoke with passing guests. It felt like a dream.
