I look at Rachel clearing my throat, it felt like I had swallowed a slew of iron hot stones and my throat felt raw and raspy. "Can you pour me a drink please?" I ask, taking the cup from her offering hands when she's done. As if I were a dehydrated fish, I swiftly swallow it down, savouring the sensation of the cool liquid sliding down my throat, quenching the fire-like sensation, and continuing with my statement.

Something that Cord was undergoing all by himself and certainly it wasn’t just because of hunger. “I understand, Milord, ” Jerome stated, but he knew deep inside he was still trying to process the change. Cord took a taste of the blood. First, it was just a sip. Then, a full gulp. He cringed thereafter, clearly not liking it. “This is not the same taste as hers but it will do, ” he remarked. “Enough to quell my thirst.” “Then I’ll take my leave now, Milord, and give you privacy, ” Jerome bowed low again and stepped out of the dais with the silver tray in hand.

Urijah now asks him, as the woman begins to fill the glasses one by one, passing them out to us, and Michael grabs his glass right away, downing the contents of it, like it had been years since he had a glass of water. Taking my own glass in my hands, I took it to my lips, and began to let the cool liquid flow freely into my mouth and down my throat, quenching my dire thirst. I realized quickly that this wasn’t water as the substance began to slightly burn my throat, and I knew that there had to be alcohol in it, but I was so damn thirsty, I didn’t care at this moment what it was.

I sighed. As I sat at the dining table, the salty taste of tears still lingering on my lips, feeling drained and sad, I suddenly felt really thirsty. Slowly, I got up and walked to the kitchen, feeling heavy and tired. I just wanted a glass of water to soothe my parched throat. Slowly, I made my way to the kitchen, my footsteps echoing in the empty hallway.

He smiled and her stomach churned as tears burned her vision. "Let me go," she said, trying to loosen his hold on her neck. The thirst was increasing with each passing second as she stared at the glass of blood with dilated pupils. "Give in, Evelyn. Drink it." Simon urged the glass forward and with a scream, she pushed his hand away as some of the blood splattered on his hand, the glass crashed on the floor and there was a lot of blood. She gulped, trying to wet her parched throat but it was as if the thirst had only increased.

Due to how long vampires lived, I've been living using different identities in different countries to avoid human's suspicion. “Oh brother, you should at least welcome me with more enthusiasm,” Sebastian said sarcastically. Then and there, I felt like plummeting him to death with my claws. “Cut the crap! Why are you here?” I asked, getting more pissed. My idiot of a stepbrother noticed this but took it as a cue to anger me further and in the blink of an eye, the office was scattered and the only things that were head was the breaking and shattering of things and our heavy breathing.

I felt an unswallowable lump in my throat and had this sour taste in my mouth almost like I was going to throw up or something. I went downstairs to drink some water. After gulping down the first glass, I could still feel the lump and when I was halfway with filling the glass with some more water, I could feel the contents of my stomach travelling up my throat. Without any explanation, he took a sip from the bottle before shoving it to Austin. "Drink it!" This eased Austin's mind. He was so thirsty that he took it and immediately began to drink. Soon, he emptied the bottle. Although his dry throat felt a little better, he was still thirsty. Still, the water had alleviated his discomfort, and he felt a little more recharged.

After being dehydrated for so long, she immediately noticed I had swallowed something. “Where are you? Are you… drinking water? Get back here now! The water’s been cut off at home. We’re all dying of thirst!” I glanced around the small basement. One entire wall was stocked with food, along with plenty of snacks and drinks. It looked just like a small supermarket. I then said, “I’m… somewhere safe. “I’m not drinking water. I’m drinking ice-cold soda. “I won’t be coming home. You know how it is. It’s a scorching 140 °F outside. Stepping outside is a death sentence.”
