Olivia I lifted my face from the computer screen as Mr. Cameroon walked into the clinic with his dog. A smile immediately spread across my face as I greeted them both. With enthusiasm, I crouched down to the dog's level and began petting him gently. "Hey buddy, how have you been?" I cheerfully asked the furry friend, who responded with a wagging tongue and wiggling body. Mr. Cameroon stood by, a grateful smile playing on his lips. "Well, he's been pretty fine. He wouldn't allow me to rest ever since he got his energy back," Mr. Cameroon shared, and I nodded in understanding. "I'm glad he is," I replied, genuinely happy to hear about the dog's progress.

Despite wanting to bark back, I just continued to smile at him to hint him that I was uncomfortable with how he was standing beside me. "What's with the dog smile?" My smile almost broke. "Did you just say dog?" "You don't like dogs? then how about a cat?" He grins. There was something weird about him. I don't even know him, but he was trying to rile me up. I could've sworn I hid my identity when I made enemies. If one person knew my identity, that'd be the guy I left half-naked at the cabin. "Do I know you? I can feel a strange sense of hostility coming from you."

And guess what, it worked! He simply nodded with a shrug before glancing at me with a smirk on his face. A smirk which brought out a sense of mischief, of innocent fun, and in that moment, I knew he was definitely about to make a silly comment, one which I bet I wouldn’t really like. “Darling, I’m anything but a dog.” He said with his chin slightly tucked. I rolled my eyes at his smugness. “You won’t mind if I call you a donkey then?” It was my turn to stare to give him a smug little smile.

I was still caressing her face when that pup came and sat down near my things with her face over my lap. This dog is dumb…!! Shooking my head, I again look at Aarohi and found her sleeping peacefully. I got curious when I saw her smiling a little. Very little in her sleep. But without my knowing, a smile formed on my face too. Looking at her for few more minutes, I finally decided to get up. Half heartily I detached my hand from her face and then slowly put that pup’s face on mattress carefully. He was also sleeping very peacefully.

"See? I told you. You had to open your mouth and ruin my day." Owen, unfazed by my sarcasm, held up his dog, G****e, who looked adorably confused. "But look," Owen said, his voice dripping with mock innocence as he made G****e sit up on his hind legs. "How can you say no to this face?"

"What the hell are you doing in my apartment? How the hell did you even get in? Are you a locksmith are something? Or can you just pick locks like any other normal person??" She sarcastically said and glared at me, her eyes pierced through my self-confidence. Sahana put Amiga down and she raced towards me, jumping up and down, her paws on my leg. "Hiii girll!!" I smiled. Then came Sahana's dog, all big and fluffy with his multicolored fur. He came up to Amiga and rubbed himself against her. Huh? What's going on between those two? Amiga didn't even mind it. I sat there, staring at them wide-eyed, confused.

When I jerk my head upwards to look at him, he has this boyish grin on his face. "Come let me introduce you to our security dog, he has the right to tear anyone into pieces that aren't me. And well, now you," he mutters tugging my hand in his as he moves forward.

He leaned down slightly, his breath hot against my cold face, and delivered his final, crushing sentence in a low whisper. "Who do you think you are? You're not a god, Danny. You're just a dog."

I have a mission to do. I give him a small smile. He smiles back with a big, toothy grin. He looks me up and down and lifts one eyebrow. I give him a quick wink. His smile gets even bigger and brighter. Male wolves are so easy to trick. This is a good sign for me. I do not think twice.
