Music played from inside—soft, eerie, wrong. I took a step forward but was stopped by a tap on my shoulder. “Who the hell are you?” a gruff voice barked behind me. I turned slowly, my face blank. “A merchant,” I said, pulling my hood back to reveal my face just enough. “I deal in product. Heard your auction’s worth my time.” The man narrowed his eyes. He had a scar across his left cheek and reeked of cheap whiskey and gunpowder. “Never seen you around before.”

“I want a kraken mask, please!” The merchant’s ears twitched upon hearing the quivering voice of a potential customer. With gleaming eyes which only saw everyone as a possible bringer of spirit stone, he clasped his plump hands and stepped forward to gauge the little boy more. “Little boy, I see the spirit of the great ressurected Headmaster in you. You might have been a a great person in your last life like the Headmaster!” He inched the kraken mask to the child who was nodding his profusely. The merchant continued. “Will you buy this, customer?” His eyes shifted onto the frowning lady.

He said with his hands in his pockets. "Ah, yes..sure. I'm ...I'm sorry Mr. Merchant. I'll make sure that my daughter won't offend you or your family." Mr. Stephan gave an awkward smile. He won't dare to offend the great Mr. Merchant after all he's the most successful person in the country. They both left with awkwardness and that woman was glaring at me till she reached the door. I smiled at him, showcasing my gratefulness. He came and hugged me and kissed me on my lips. I also kissed him back with all the love for him in my heart. I just love this man❤
