As Carlos were about to mount on his horse, an arrow was hurled in his direction and he was swift to duck. We looked in the direction at which it was thrown and we were shocked to see three huge men with a cross mark on their forehead. We knew they were hybrids because that mark was an identification for them. They were hefty, muscular and as tall as giants. Their faces were scary and they looked aggressive as their teeth jolted out in their mouth. We knew these hybrids were part werewolves, part vampires. They are known for their strength and desire for power. They never had businesses with werewolves and Lycans but I wondered why these ones in particular were trying to attack us.

3rd Person The pups screamed in terror as the giant snake pursued them through the jungle, moving far faster than they thought should be possible. Their shifter bodies were fast, but they were still only children and struggling to get through the unfamiliar terrain. The anaconda on the other hand, was a native and had no problem navigating the complex terrain and thick vegetation of the forest floor. It surged through exotic botanicals, leaf litter and fallen trees, while the pups stumbled and scrambled to escape.

Sienna and other snake women could take on a human form so that no one would notice anything unusual. Everyone was stunned by her beauty and became excited, flattering her.

“You see Ariel. Horses are really a good judge of character. You see snowflake here? She’s not even scared of you right now. She’s just worked up, because you are. The impact shook the earth, knocking Ben and Haley off their feet. Dust and ash billowed up. Through the haze, a head rose. It was a snake. But calling it a snake was like calling a tank a bicycle. Having a snake is not that surprising," Henrick said to me, confused but confident in what he said. "You are right. We have so many incidents in history where the dark witches had snakes as their pets, but these snakes?" I paused and looked at them with raised brows. I didn't speak immediately; let them remember those snakes. "They.... they weren't normal," Henrick mumbled, and I smiled.

Could that snake really have been trying to treat me? After that, I heard the man say, "I'm that venomous snake." I was shocked into silence. After a momentary silence, I asked, "Are you a Naga, a half-snake, half-human entity? Was that your snake form?" He nodded. These entities had two forms, animal and human. Only an animal with talent, capability, and good luck could hold a human form, which was why entities like these were rare and valuable in the Riverplain Continent.

However, my glass stayed a distance away from my lips. I wasn't listening, but I had heard she was a Viper, a Viper. How could that happen? I didn't understand. But yet. I did. Her eyes, the blotched pattern that beautifully decorated the corner of her face explained it all, and yet I couldn't believe it. My mate. My second chance mate, was not a wolf shifter like I was. She was a snake shifter. How would I—were we even compatible? I shook the thought aside before fully listening keenly to Jonah's next words. By the time Chase noticed, a swarm of venomous creatures had gathered around him. Among them were common species like black mambas, golden-ringed snakes, green pit vipers, seven-step vipers, crimson scorpions, and long-tailed centipedes, but mixed in were also rare and deadly breeds such as Nether Vipers and Thousand Calamities Azure Snake. I remember Nuri saying there were weresnakes on the border between Werebears and Werebirds. They are very tyrannical and love to eat humans and other magical creatures. Many countries have expelled them. I didn't realize there were three weresnakes living on our country's borders!
