Right at that moment, a sudden, icy sensation brushed against my arm. I jerked my head around. A small, snow-white snake was slowly slithering up, wrapping its sleek body firmly around my forearm. Its crimson eyes stared directly into mine, its tongue hissing softly as it watched me.

He pressed it down, peeled it away, and the black outline of the coiled snake and dagger stared back at Marcus in the dirty mirror mounted on the wall. "Ready?" Snake asked.
