Third POV Carter opened his mouth to say something, but his voice choked in his throat. His pupils narrowed dramatically, as if he had seen a ghost. "Easy," Sofia grinned, "as long as you give me a satisfying answer, we'll both have a pleasant evening." Carter put away his out-of-control expression and replaced it with his usual aloofness and seriousness. But his slightly trembling fingers betrayed him. Sofia reaches out and touches the hand that Carter has gripped the door with, Carter quickly pulls his hand back as if he's been electrocuted.

Sofia stopped herself from giggling due to the butterflies on her stomach. On the other hand, Julia woke up for some water and found the glass on her bedside empty. She was about to go to the kitchen to refill her water when she heard whispers coming from the shared balcony. She quietly stepped closer without giving herself away and started eavesdropping. "You call texting as talking? You'll have to compensate." Carl said with a smirk. "Compensate? How?" Sofia asked. "I'll come over right now. Come to the balcony. Let me see you for a while.
